You can buy a little hand pump to get water out of your container. It is just a useful small item to have. Good luck!

Great set up. I lived in my Prius for a little while and camped out of it for a long time… I just upgraded to a minivan. 🎉 🚐 the space I have now is amazing 🤩 I wouldn’t want to go back to living full time in a car.

Great seeing the completed build. Idk if Canada has this, but here in the US, we have a Little Free Library system. Folx build little boxes on their lawns for people to select books from. If you're ever in need of a new book to read, this could be a great resource. Best of luck on your road adventures.

I personally would not chose a platform because of diminishing precious head room which is already minimal in a Prius. I feel claustrophobic just thinking about it. Two people in there - ikes. All the best to both of you- looking fwd to seeing how it all works

@@Deborah986 I don't think they had a lot of options. The battery is installed right behind it and it's pretty tall. If you want a flat surface to sleep on it'll have to be that high up.

would recommend getting a small travel towel of some sort to dry off the action packer if needed (avoids drips falling in when you open it). We have a similar set up when camping and keep the towel in our glove compartement and its been a life saver a couple times. Plus they dry super quick.

Wonder if adding a bunch of like 1 1/2" holes in the plywood piece, maybe every 3" in an alternating grid, under the cooler/plastic bin would both lose some weight and create drainage so you don't get water trapped in between. Great stuff guys, you are going to have a lot of fun!

Looks great. Unsolicited advice: 😆 The fruit basket is a great idea but needs to hang where it can’t hit a surface like the seat if you have any fruit or it will get bruised or really smooshed. Have you considered packing cubes for you clothes? They’d be helpful for sorting and storing. Also curious as to how to lift and access the water when it’s full and weighs a ton? (I lived with a similar water jug solution for a year and it’s heavy. Ideally it lives in an accessible place, on its side so the tap is always accessible.) Looking forward to the adventures!

Love your cooler and bed, we have to keep seats in which is inconvenient since seats do not fold flat. Still usable, but we may raise entire floor to level increasing under bed storage. We also have 5-foot aluminum truck box on back that can be leveled to cook on. an ice chest behind one seat and dry toilet behind driver seat insures we have a fast bathroom we can use without leaving car.

Hey guys .... snoopy advice giver here --- can you put your "random board" table leg on a hinge under the hitch rack (securing it in route with some kind of fastener - even a hook and latch?) so it's permanently attached under the Action Packer? I think that would be convenient to just be able to release the "table leg" under the Action Packer when you park and you'd never lose it.

I will tell you that you should have gone with better padlocks then master locks, because if they're unwarded someone can stick a peice of metal in the keyway and open the lock faster then cutting it and it'll look like you forgot to lock it
