@@claire7902 JP doesn't matter which direction the orbs are kicked, only north (between 1 and 3) and south (between 5 and 7) matter. I treat the mechanic in 2 halves. Defamation is stupid easy so not gonna explain that. For numbers if I'm 8 I know I'm 2nd set of tower and 2nd bait after flip. If I'm 2 (which I'll use for the rest of this example) I know I'm 1st bait and 1st tower after flip. When I split it like that mentally, I only have to worry about the flip since I already said to myself 1st bait 1st tower after flip. Don't need to know if it's going CW or CCW. I also only look relative south during the whole mechanic if I have numbers (north for defamation) and know I'm soaking the 1st orb that flies past me after flip. If you split it in half like that, knowing what to do is easy as hell, just gotta wait for 2nd defamation to do the part that you didn't do.

@@vaderglenn cuz I was adding examples lol. Otherwise it boils down to defamation north, numbers south, after 2nd defamation, mirror the process vertically. That's JP in a nutshell. Regardless both strats work. To each their own.
@SoujiSetaTheFox
@SoujiSetaTheFox Жыл бұрын
@@Rotomoo This is how I do it too. If i'm 2nd tower I'm second bait and the platform swap can happen as soon as the 2nd defamation hits, as the defamation tower and fire bait all happen at the same time. I'f im 3rd fire bait I pop sprint and run to the other wall and I get there with seconds to spare. And if I'm third tower, I know that will be opposite of the first tower so memorizing cw or ccw is unnecessary. Both strats work but I find JP much much easier and is probably easier in a static setting

PF generally speaking cannot handle cooperative mechanics and that speaks to the selfishness of players found on PF more than anything else. It's nothing new, Ramuh gave people lots of trouble with that tether, people don't seem to understand 'stack behind boss' in Zurvan, or moving with your tethered partner to one side, sacrificing some DPS to do snakes safely in P8S and many, many more examples.

I like having the fire baits ahead of the towers instead of behind because defamations don't have to pause and wait for the fire baits to go off before continuing. The baits also have to move less to catch up with the group that way.
@rithli

yeah that's valid i felt this way at first too however defams have forever amounts of time to get to their next spot so it's honestly no problem it's easier for jumps to trail behind towers than to try to get ahead in time and catching up is a non issue (can also save sprint for your jumps)

The only thing i would change about this strat is that you have the kick baits next to the outside group rotating, (Defams are at east wall, bait is currently southeast at 0:17) instead have the bait be one rotation ahead (southwest) to prevent accidents if someone begins to rotate too soon. The next defamation aoe marker appears before the bait will go off so people are inclined to rotate as soon as they see that.

You don't "have" to do them in that corner, the jump can be placed in either of the two corner, the only reason he put it this way in the video is to let number 4 pre-place as well (and it also looks clean in raid plan when you show it this way), you can do the whole pre-placement one quarter (2 instead of 4, etc) moved and it would still work

that is an intentional clip i selected -- the point is to show that it is completely modular the defams can react to that no problem and it is what happens in practice when people accidentally trail or go ahead nobody doing towers is going to be in those intercards except for the jump baits so it is a non issue look at the diagram and see where the defam would hit if someone went ahead instead of trailing -- it's the same diff. also the defams do not go off as fast as you think they do.

This is a great guide, but recommend everyone look up the newer “JP Strat” which gets rid of the need to run around the room, ensures everyone goes to the same place every time, and eliminates 99% of the points of failure in Krille Strat.

@AFUZZYPANDA Жыл бұрын
What points of failure does this Strat have?
@24hr-Gaming
@24hr-Gaming Жыл бұрын
The only consistent point of failure in all the strats is the fire explosion. The defamations don't matter at all, this version just helps with people who have a hard time seeing when their defamation marker is up. But the fire explosion point of failure is actually worse in JP because of the 6 fire and 2 tower have to run far.
@RavorRants14
@RavorRants14 Жыл бұрын
@@AFUZZYPANDA (to be clear both strats are viable and you should use whatever your group can agree on and execute) IMO the biggest problem with Krile involve everyone needing to keep track of too many things at once. Everyone needs to not only remember which direction to rotate, they need to know to move at the right time. When they need to move out for baits it will be in a different place every time. Every rotation is another opportunity for someone to go the wrong way or move to soon or forget that it’s their turn to move out, or get too close to a defamation or too close to a bait. The need to constantly be moving in a circle makes it more likely that a mental mistake could happen any given moment. The huge benefit of JP imo is that it eliminates almost all of it. The party stand in one place, only shifting across mid once. If you have a number you can keep your camera oriented one direction and stare at your eventual tower spot. Baits all run to the exact same place every time, defamations are dropped in the same place every time. It’s just night and day to me, I know folks have their preferences and I’m not claiming JP to be flawless but they really are night and day strategies IMO. Calm vs chaos
@MissSmoozie
@MissSmoozie Жыл бұрын
I don't think most of those things are points of failure at all if people actually understand the mechanic, the timing on everything you mentioned is super lenient. Defamations have to move slightly before the defamation they are standing with go off, this seem to be about 5 seconds after it appears/the fire kick/tower resolves, which is plenty. After you've resolved your defamation you can literally plant there unless you're about to get a ball kicked into your face, so should probably move towards the middle and the "wrong" way after your defamation resolves. Once again, this seems to give you about 8 seconds to move from the wall to close to the middle, fun fact, except for defamation one you can just move to a permanent safespot, defamation one has to do a tiny sideways adjust at some point between 2nd and 3rd defamation to be 100% safe and comfy. For numbers, you have a 10-12 second window to move into the spot after the defamation on it goes of, whether for a tower or to take the kick. I.e. 4 and 8 can start next to 7, and 2 and 6 can safely rotate all the way to where 1 was the moment they gain their first vuln up, as long as they understand where danger lies. To me it's just easier to remember a direction, and then I just take either my dash or my tower first, move across slightly off center and do the other one.

Static tried Mario Karting it for 2 hours with basically no progress. JP got us past it, and the best part is that you don't have to remember your number once it disappears because your starting position tells you everything you do for the rest of the mechanic. People also overcomplicate trying to remember the positions. 2 ACROSS from 1 and away from group 4 ACROSS from 3 and away from group 6 NEAR 5 and near group 8 NEAR 7 and near group. i.e. low numbers away, high numbers close (all relative to your number minus 1). Whatever mechanic you do first, you do the opposite after swap. I'd wait for that guide before gluing yourself to this strat. Switching made a huge difference for us.

The advantage of Oppo over Intercard is that the distances to run are shorter, so sometimes you eliminate the error of Tower 3 being slow or forgetting, and Fire 3 killing the whole group running through to get to the other side's Fire position in Intercard. However Intercard only has straight lines to run with Towers only veering slightly and therefore might be easier for some people to execute. In the end, personally I had to learn both these strategies for PF, lol.

If you have problem with distance on jp strat then you didn't sprint. Even there, I would say you aren't paying attention.

Let's be honest, in PF I don't care what strategy is used, just get the strat down clean before joining the next "prog point" PF party. It's why Snake swap is a meme... No, getting past it one time with a quarter of the party on the ground and several rez debuffed players because you've got a RDM who is on the ball doesn't count...

@@TannerLindberg Unless the strats have changed in the last 4 months that is just simply a false statement. I don't really want to get into the details because it would require me to find toolboxes from months ago, but oppo and krile are two completely different strats that happen to be do-able without interfering with each other, meaning that you can have 1 player doing oppo and one player doing krile. So long as you know where your suppose to go the mechanic will complete itself correctly. Saying that these are the same thing is like saying a tank solo invulning a shared buster is the same thing as a tank sharing the buster with their co-tank. The end result is the same thing but the methods used to get that result are drastically different.

Imagine having to figure out which way your party is rotating and making sure not to over extend to avoid defamations, making sure your current fire out member doesn’t rotate too close with the party, when you can all stand together and everyone who is going to explodes just walks away from the group lol.

So it's the JP strat with extra steps. Defamation goes far, numbered player aoe somewhere safe, towers in order 6, 8, 2, 4. The difference being everyone runs in a circle. Literal extra steps.
