Totally agree! Ty came through Madison, WI twice in the summer of 2012. The first time was while his band was touring with White Fence for the Hair album, and the second was when they were touring with Thee Oh Sees to promote Slaughterhouse. Ty's band for both tours was Emily on drums, Mikal on bass and Charles on guitar. Every band killed it both times. Ty and his band signed my copy of Ty's Singles collection and talked to me for a bit. They were all really cool.

Sad that Charles is seemingly stepping away from music (not sure if it is a complete hiatus or what) and out of respect for his great friend Ty is officially retiring the Freedom Band moniker. Last couple shows for Ty with Freedom Band are coming up but I am so grateful to see the 3rd/4th to last performance of theirs in Detroit on the 6th but my god did their performance make the announcement more of a bummer than it already was.
