At 3:40, the drummer stops hitting the ride and the bassist stops hitting the higher notes and the whole song just drops. That ride isn’t rocking in the middle of the mix anymore and you just feel that relief, all that space that I didn’t even realize was being occupied.

I feel like it opens up more room for the bass, both the guitar and bass kinda riff back and forth with small fills, all while the drummer maintains that feeling of continuity all the way up to around 6:30. It's open but very concentrated which is pretty rad.

I would say Slift has been the best band on the planet for some time now. I don't fantasize about Klaus Dinger playing with Hawkwind anymore. This is way beyond that :D

Unabashed and experimental rock and roll! I only really got into these guys in the last few months with Ummon (which is played over and over) . Love all the effects and the killer groove the drummer and bassist lay down and THEN the unbelievable guitar! Can't get enough of Slift. Please play the US!

Had my ticket ready to see them a second time around and then Covid hit. They shut down Paris a day before the concert. I'm waiting for the city to open back up and for SLIFT to come back. The first show I saw of theirs was absolutely bonkers, in a basement bar in Paris with maybe 200 others.
