Thank you KZbin algorithms for thinking I'm remotely cool enough to be introduced to this. Holy shit, I've not had a band slap me in the face so hard since I was a kid! Instant fan! 💜💜💜

Seven Bates maybe you’ve gathered as much from reading other comments but you should check out thee oh sees. When I heard “floating coffin” in 2014 it slapped me in the face in a way I haven’t felt since nirvana’s LIVE album “from the muddy banks of the wishkah”. Super raw sound but tight playing too. Loved everything they’ve put out since. The most recent album “face stabber” is really out there but enjoyable if you’re an oh sees head, so maybe not the place to start. Cheers.

LFR with a Power Trio. You might want to look up NingenIsu as well. Japanese but they absolutely kick it out. Sadly now NOT coming to SXSW due to the event being cancelled.

They look so happy to play, especially the guitarist. It's rare to see with music this heavy, but all the more enjoyable. They know the album they just put out is close to a masterpiece and they seem so proud to play it to the world :)
