Levitical Choir Sings New, Ancient Psalms in Preparation for Rebuilt Temple

JERUSALEM, Israel - A unique Jewish choir sang psalms in Jerusalem's Jewish Quarter during Passover to draw people closer to God.
The choir, singing in Jerusalem's Old City, is looking forward to the day when the Jewish Temple will be rebuilt.
The Levitical choir is part of the Temple Institute in Jerusalem, which focuses on establishing the Third Temple. All the choir members are from the tribe Levi, the priestly tribe.

Sacrificing animals had only one purpose to point to perfect sacrifice. Animals could never take away sins.. The fact that Abraham offered his only son as sacrifice is just to show that God will offer Jesus - Himself for sacrifice. Thats all there is. God wasn't pleased in blood of bulls and goats, but only in His son Jesus.. Jesus is only reason for everything, He is the guy who led jewish people through desert, and yet Jesus was crucified by His own people and now they put more trust in animals than in God who led them from slavery, while they wait their own Messiah who will come in his own name and glorify himself because he is full of pride, he will sit in their temple and call himself God.. Sorry but Yahshua did not come to end the law. He said it, Paul taught it. The renewed covenant was made with the house of Israel and the house of Judah. You misunderstand Paul as Peter stated many would. The law that Yahshua did away with was the law of sin and death. If you accept messiah you are no longer under the law that declares if you sin you will die. In Messiah you are forgiven of your sins so you will inherit eternal life. The New (renewed in Hebrew)Testament clearly states that sin is transgression of the law (Torah in Hebrew). The Torah is found in the first five books of the old (original) covenant. That statement clearly refutes your supposition. The best place to start is to observe the correct sabbath. Friday evening to Saturday evening. You cannot find one place in the New Testament that teaches the sabbath was changed to Sunday. That can easily be proven to have originated with the Roman emperor Constantine. Then the Catholic Church. Why would you obey them over what your Bible clearly teaches.

Only ten tribes were lost. The tribe of Judah and Benjamin were never lost, only scattered and some even remained in Israel. As for Levites, they passed down their priesthood from father to son. So while the tribe as a whole is lost, many, many individuals from the tribe of Levi are very much aware of their origins, and that they are priests and live their lives by the laws assigned to them.

Genealogy is very important in Judaism. I doubt anyone from the first diaspora (northern Israel) has an intact genealogy. But there were Levites running the Temple and synagogues during the Roman diaspora (70 AD), and some of them kept track of their genealogies. As another reply says, if an ancestor has a family name derived from a known descendant of Levi, there’s a fair chance you’re a Levite. I doubt that’s good enough to get you into Temple service, though.

Actually, he will meet us in the clouds first during the Rapture. At the end of the 7 Year Marriage Supper with the Lamb of God, then we return with Jesus to establish his Millennial Reign in Jerusalem. It is at this time that he will step foot on the Mount of Olives. The Rapture and the Second Coming of Christ are two entirely different events.

I think Christians who are not watchful may get caught up in this 3rd Temple issue forgetting that the reason for them rebuilding it is that it was destroyed as Christ said. Only ten tribes were lost. The tribe of Judah and Benjamin were never lost, only scattered and some even remained in Israel. Most Jews are from these two tribes. Jews from the tribe of Levi passed down their priesthood from father to son. So there are Judeans, Benjaminites(I don't know if this is an actual English word, but there is an Hebrew word for them), Levites, and Danites, which are Ethiopian Jews from the tribe of Dan, this is something that a certain great and wise Rabbi has claimed because of Ethiopian Jewish communities in Ethiopia... There are more Jewish communities all over the world suspected to be from different tribes. But the tribe of Judah, Benjamin and Levi are mostly known to us.

The rebuilding of the third Temple is a very multilayered complicated issue with the biggest one being the location of thid new Temple. As we all know, the Temple Mount is now the home of the Muslim "holy site" Dome of the Rock. As tradition has it, the third temple would have to follow it being built on Temple Mount and with it's new home being a Mosque, that would be a vey big problem with the Muslims who view the Jews as enemies.
