Grease the gears now oil. I think it's better to grease the worm gear. I'd use quantum got sauce or ardent reel butter

The lubricant that comes with a Tenpoint Crossbow (if you own such crossbow) is an excellent lube for your reels.

Help I took my lews speed spin reel apart and now I can figure out how to put it back together , any idea where I can find a blow up view ? Any video's on tuning them up .

On some lew reels the pushbutton is a pull button. Its okay to immerse the reel in fresh water. Thats what you should do if it is exposed to salt water. Make sure you dry and lube afterwards.

I have a Lews carbon fire reel. The knob for the brakes on the palm side of the reel will only move about 5 or 6 clicks. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Geese or use bps reel butter on your q-tips so it cleans it more and it's moister

Few drips of oil in bearing is a bad idea. 1 tiny drop is all you need. Too much will cause drag.

The release button on my lzr isn't doing anything,it's just loose,any ideas how to fix it?

Jeffery Taylor you will have to open the side where the main gear is to look if it's broken.

where can I go to find the Bolt that holds the handle on mine won't stay on and I need the screw I've only had it for about 3 months I took a really good care of it but I don't know why it won't stay on I'll tighten it down then I'll go to try to use it as Pop back off so please send me a link to where I can buy a new one if I have to I'll buy the handle

Blake Ervin if you haven't already pull up the schematics to find the manufacturer part number. Lew's has always bent over backwards for me whenever I have had to call about the slightest thing.

Use Loctite when you find the new screw, I'd probably throw some teflon plumbers tape on it too for good measures

Did you pull the clog flush handle? Try plunger and some Drain-o, if that don't work you'll have to snake it

There are many different factors that will lead to the spool not spinning. you can open up your reel and spin the spool with you fingers and look for interference between the spool and the gears. I hope this helped check out my KZbin channel Phils Fishing for more videos like this

It's gonna sound wierd.. but gun oil..and a tooth brush and really cleaned it really good.

I had this same problem. you can try putting a spacer behind the part of the unscrew able line guide to push up a metal piece that guide's the line guide on the spinning track thus keeping it on track
