Predomination is a natural event in cherubs as the final state of maturation, after which they mature into full space snakes, and go mate with another cherub. Problem is, instead of naturally predominating Calliope, Caliborn has her dream self killed, which killed her entirely due to their whole one is asleep the other is awake deal, which did successfully solve his problem of having Calliope in him.... but also made it so he could never mature.
