Was massive into green landing a few years ago done both 4x4, quad and bike laning, and people always assume defender are the God of off roading, I can assure you they absolutely are not, there are much more capable more reliable and cheaper 4x4s you can buy.

Can you give a little tip for a cheap and capable 4x4? I drove a Duster which was nice considering what they cost new, but they have very limited ground clearance

@@haxhuragsgax5453 depends where you are nothing in the UK is cheap any more but cheap things we picked up were such as, vitara, sportrack or 4trak, pajero, trooper (but troopers didn't have locking diff) so no ideal. Generally discos and defender dog shit for reliability I wouldn't have one given, we've pulled so many out stuck and broke down there utter shite imo.

I was given a jeep Cherokee by my uncle it was a 4.0 straight 6, he bought it new he lived in London so it was hardly even used he got fed up for having to pay to park it outside his own house so gave it to me, i hated every second of owning it, 19mpg on a good day, everything was expensive to fix, but it was decent off road, mainly because it was free and i didn't care if i wrecked it i sold it after 3 month the fuel bill was a joke.
