Mercedes will pay the price for how they treated Lewis since AD21. However it will only happen once Lewis is out of the team. I do think to a certain degree they use Lewis as a shield to protect them from scrutiny of their choices and I think the way Mercedes have acted this year suggests to me that there’s a fear from within that they will have to face the reality of their decisions not only financially but also from a sporting aspect as well.

Spot on like always! Toto is willing to do just about anything to make sure Russell finishes ahead of Lewis. Putting all his eggs into the GR63 basket will continue to backfire cause George is just too inconsistent no matter how good the car may be. Its not a surprise since after Belgium and even since what Canada, they are doing something to his car. In practice, he's getting what he needs out of it, at least in FP1 and 2, then we get to FP3/Quali the car is different all of the sudden. 13-9 in quali in 22, 11-11 in 23 but P3 in the championship, now the car has an actual identity with a direction to go in and all of the sudden Lewis "seemingly" can't get the better of GR, but goes to the range and just shocks the instructor on his precision. Its obvious what they are doing, Mercedes ruined that relationship intentionally ever since the end of 2021. Shareholders, executives whomever is higher up can't afford GR to lose to Lewis before he goes. They've made it evident that in some of the races, they are doing something mid race to keep him from beating GR. The pulled his damn car from p7 to"fix his suspension" then all of the sudden it was built correctly, oh and lets change the engine. Right mate, right.

What is happening with Hamilton these last two races? He is struggling a lot. Surely Rusell is slightly faster but it's not normal to have that huge of a difference suddenly. However karma is a bitch. Ferrari is in a much better position for a championship challenge along with Mclaren. On the other hand both Mercedes and Red Bull seem to be done. In hindsight, given how much Toto is lusting after Max, it was always Mercedes’ plan to replace Hammer with Max! Just look at how they acted when 2021 happened - Toto even sent Max a congrats message at the time, the same day of Abu Dhabi. Yep and the reality is that Mercedes has an even more insidious motivation behind what they're doing. The team needs to look like it's stronger than Lewis. That's why Russell's whole mission has been to qualify ahead of Lewis, finish ahead of Lewis--it didn't matter if his car was illegal or he crashed or the team as a whole was hurt. He had to put on a show for the team's SPONSORS. If Lewis was on fire, if he was crushing it, Toto's billion dollar stake in the business would be in jeopardy. Sponsors (rightfully so) would be concerned about Lewis leaving. So Mercedes has decided to sabotage him, not work with him, make him look washed, incompetent and a "has-been". Not out of malice, but financial incentive. Toto being the shrewd businessman that he is, has certainly factored this into his calculation. He knows how close Bono and Lewis are, and drove a wedge between them to keep Bono--who is invaluable to the team--in Mercedes to one: strengthen it and two hurt Lewis. Since he will be a competitor next year, Toto isn't going let his star race engineer join his former star driver at Ferrari. This is Toto's strategy. That said I hope Ferrari shocks us all and deliver's a car that'll be the envy of the sport. That's the one thing Toto can't influence or control.
