I spent every thanksgiving for 10 years of my life in Seattle many at the old Roosevelt Hotel ,that was bought out by a fancy chain ,super expensive place ,that had to honor our long term contracts with the Roosevelt ,so we got the high dollar rooms for a song hahaha 😂then we had amazing dinners put on by hotel staff with ice sculptures and champagne 🎉🎉cool part was most of the old staff were kept on too so we knew them well and we had a blast with them at the dinner and they loved that the hotel had to cater for us hippie craftspeople 😂😂it was fucken great dinner with 350 of our family we chose .. the best memories ! But damn rain there holy shit lol saw the best Pink Floyd laser light show ever at the space needle in the 80’s .. could never live there .. that said you Lewis have been through my town in winter over the 299 on your way to a show in Redding ca where you read my rant about that very highway 😂😂😂 an honor I will never forget sir .. and it rains almost as much here in fall and winter .. ugh 😣 thanks for the laugh and jogging my good memories of Seattle .

I am a 78yo Boomer, born and raised in Seattle. I gotta say, I have never been so proud, as to the quality of the material we Seattle folks offered up to Mr. Black!...our area of this torn country has it's own style of humor, attitudes, etc. It is true, that our residents read more, are weird drivers, and the phrase "Seattle Freeze" is very for real!. Lewis and his ranting humor appeals to us, very much!

@Mindy - I could feel the same way (having nothing to be thankful for), but we do have stuff to be thankful for. Don't let the hate, cruelty, and intolerance of the incoming administration rob you of of yourself. You REALLY don't have to be "at Thanksgiving" this year. You could "call in sick" and stay home, give yourself the gift of a day off with no one needing or expecting anything of you. Imagine spending the day being thankful for just being able to be you. I'm concerned about the subject coming up at Thanksgiving this year, but I'm 70, the matriarch of the family. I live 5 hours away by car. I'm driving down. If any one brings the topic up, I'm going to interpret and say. "Politics and religion are not a topic that have never been spoken about at festive celebration in this family. I'm requesting that we continue this tradition. If that doesn't silence the topic or causes upset, I will excuse myself from the table and say my goodbye. Not a forever goodbye, just from the situation. Life is to short. Best wishes to you ☮️

I'm a cancer patient. Every day is a day to be thankful. I don't need the calendar to tell me when. I also don't need a family gathering like my relatives do, not speaking of anything too important or controversial. Safe topics. Oh, and it's a gathering I could never bring my gay boyfriend to (if I had one). It's both plain boring and complicated at the same time. No thanks. Great show Lewis! Watching from Michigan and you just came up in my feed on KZbin following the Majority Report w/Sam Seder. How the fuck did that happen? I haven't seen you perform in quite a few years, ever since moving back to Michigan from NJ in fact. Out East I had much more exposure to wonderful stuff, it was the highlight of my life. Now I'm in Michigan where there is nothing. Zero. Nada. Zip. I have to drive 2 hours just to see a concert. I've missed you Lewis, and you coming along in my feed just made the week ahead so much brighter!
