Having seen this guy perform live (when he opened for Bastille) I can tell you that he is like this 100% of the time! Most people there had no idea who he was since it was before he REALLY blew up but I've never seen any opening act catch an audience like that, and I've been to a fuck ton of concerts. It was like watching stand up and then suddenly he started singing. Wow. Caught me completely off guard. I think everyone in that room felt like we were watching history being written. Incredible guy

Love his voice. And amazed at how fast his vibrato is. You don't hear it in the recordings of his songs as much as you do live. It takes a lot of control to slow that fast of a natural vibrato down. Such talent.

@Hassaan It could be a natural vibrato, but he just as in imbalance in the pressure in his vocal chords and the musculature surrounding them. So breath control exercises would even it out. It could be a nerves thing too...breath control gets out of wack when your nervous. So live performances could cause it to be faster, where singing in a studio not really nervous there. Who knows! It sounds cool all the same even if it isn't natural.
