Sean Longstaff eluded to the fact that Lewis is always last to turn up training too in a quick fire round interview with the players I can imagine with Eddie that would not sit well. Attitude and application are key fundamentals for Eddie and his team.

Great report Keith , for me around Hall involvment i am not just amazed away at Chelsea but PSG away when anyone who could move would have been of benefit . Isak was a spectator . Not any dig at Eddie but a 20 min slot on several occasions would / may have helped . Clearly no trust in him and if cant get any game time when we have 11/12 players out it seems very odd .

I genuinely think they dont wanna trigger the obligation before the Jan window shuts. Because our squad needs improvements elsewhere and forking out 30m for a lb in jan wouldnt be ideal.

Put Hall in the team, he is rapid and how Ritchie gets into the team before him is just mystifying.... Without injuries we would not have seen Tino or Miley so just put him on!!!

Keith i Think you and Craig hope need to address the Goal Keeping situation as Martin Dubravka has Shipped a Shocking amount of Goals since Nick Pope went out Injured and us as Fans need to know why do we have all these other Keepers taking up Valuable Squad places if they are not Good Enough i mean 2 keepers on the Bench and why cant Karius get a start or any Minutes after all those goals Dubravka has shipped Something has to change and i think with you being the voice of the Geordie Faithfull we need to ask why Karius cant get any Minutes with these Shocking Displays and Results

Firstly ..may I congratulate you on your channel ...class! love it! In my honest opinion on Hall keith ...its like he doesn't know his position he's all over the pitch when he plays .. I've watched him every time he's played and he was everywhere definitely not left back ... I think thats why he isn't getting game time.. Eddie's give him instructions but he's not carrying them out..thats big red flags if your a manager ..he definitely needs more training ...matty,dan,and tino they do it right and if they are Eddie's examples of a left back Halls no where near at moment and has to protect him but theres definitely a cracking player in there just not yet anyway Just my opinion.

He played him in midfield in two games near the start of the season and he didn’t look good - in both games he moved other players around and put hall LB, where he looked far better. Agree we should’ve rotated him the last few weeks, what good is better quality on the pitch if they don’t have the legs to show it, but have to prioritise where money goes atm

Given how desperate we have been for legs, how knackered we have been, with some players ran into the ground, it's incredible he's not come on in midfield or even up front to chase defenders and keepers down - feels like, whatever the requirements are he has not yet met, Eddie is wondering if he would rather spend money elsewhere ...

I can’t see any reason he’s not playing. Remember against PSG Isak couldn’t run we had the full team behind the ball. Why wouldn’t you just stick the young lad up front and say run them down for 15 minutes

My concern with trips is a psychological one. Depression is - if you look at it - the inability to function due to psychological issues. I used to look after a guy who was a builder and he was depressed. He thought “if I could just build a house then I’d know that I was better”. So he go off and try to build a house (I’m simplifying obviously) and because he wasn’t well he’d end up failing and thus confirming to himself how bad he was etc. I’m sure you can see where I’m going with this. I’m worried trips will get caught in this sort of maintenance cycle.

Some interesting info on lewis hall & i think you're probably right keith. It's similar to anthony gordon. I just hope it's not an attitude thing with lewis himself playing up about being seen as a left back. I'm sure he'll come good though under eddie's guidance. Cheers keith.

Lewis Hall is 100% a better option than Matt Ritchie. Eddy is basically saying we wasted 40 million on a player he does not rate. Every time I have seen him play he looks decent, so god knows what Eddy is seeing, anyway lots of our player make loads of mistakes(we all know who that is) recently and Eddy keeps playing them. Very strange maybe Lewis is not as good a mate to Eddy as other players in the squad.

To me proves that Howe lacks the ability to see things as they are. Just look at some of his signings who are really match fit. Time to get coach with more than one trick in his case.

Lewis Hall has looked over awed and defensively shaky every time he has entered the field, so I’m not sure what you’re seeing. Eddie will work with him away from the pitch and improve him, like he has with most of our squad. We have a sticky patch under awful injury conditions/luck and people suddenly want the manager who saved us from relegation and got us into champions league within 18 months out of the door? Get a grip.

The Hall situation feels like Phillips at Man City, good players but their respective managers just dont fancy them. It happens, look at Schar, Longstaff before Eddie arrived. If Howe feels there are better ready made options at LB then I think he will pursue them.
