It's a utility coin and can't rise up or down except over emotions, at this time. It must be adopted and used to make real gains. It can't be used without clear regulations and laws. Add those two together for the flip of the switch moment we all wait on. I hope this information helps.

Lewis, genuine question? What do you make of this statement from Forbes? There are also concerns about using XRP in Ripple’s cross-border payment system. The currency is largely redundant and potentially isn’t necessary for the payments system to function. Even if XRP is used to settle payments, the value of XRP does not affect the system’s functionality, as the payments are settled in fiat value. This means that the payment can still be sent as usual whether XRP is $1 or 1 cent, providing little incentive for positive price action.

Terrible ignorance from that Forbes' journalist.. XRP is the essential lever, the bridge currency between currencies / banks/ countries/ assets.. In terms of liquidity, the rising utility of XRP on the XRP Ledger (cohort by cohort or country by country) must drive up the price of the token, when there will be billions/ trillions flowing. Otherwise, the ledger would cease to function & crash when 100bn tokens reach capacity.. How high XRP will go, only time will tell..
