I had this 30 years ago when I grew up in Asia. I still have a version of it in my office to make tea directly in my mug. It's super fast and convenient.

I just found an oldschool one from 1990 still in the Package at a local thrift store for like 50 cents! Saw and thought that would be great to just throw in a backpack to have for whenever you can't get hot water! Great little peice for that bug out bag or a daily use bag! Thanks for the video.

I always take an immersion heater when I go on vacation. I haven't got this brand heater though. I've a couple different ones, made in Ukraine and Russia. Here in Europe they will actually boil water within about 2 minutes. Nice video.

I use mine with my 300 watt solar power station. I got the 12 volt 120 watt version with a cigarette lighter plug. I can make coffee or tea or even boil eggs in a cup.

@@JacobysJourneys thanks, I was about to get a shock. I am a retard and I plug it in and before I dip it into the water, I held like the metal part in my hand and flipped on the switch, I was aloof. And by the grace of God, I didn't get a shock as the wire was old and blew up before me

Interesting. You made a video about a water heater and didn’t think to use a thermometer to show us the water temperature before and after. Maybe you should ask Lewis & Clark to send you a thermometer.

I couldn’t purchase a thermometer while solo backpacking in China at the time I filmed this. But to help you out, it successfully made the water go from cold to hot.

You should measure the temperature it reached within 4 minutes not just say it's hot and ready for tea.
