I saw this place in the newspaper.. I think it is a wonderful town in a place with natural wonders.. I am only visiting Google Earth at the moment. I hope one day I will have the opportunity to live in this peaceful town..thx for video..

A sweet, cool little mountain town with a 4 season resort just minutes from this town which is snowshoe mountain. Marlinton, WV is on the greenbrier river and has some spevial events during the summer and end of summer. Pioneer days, Roadkill Festival and in the winter is the Christmas Children's parade. It's fun and quaint, I know i loved there and loved it. Try to visit, it is small, and friendly people .

Wow, wow! Todd, you did it again! What an excellent, detailed, and enjoyable tour (with fantastic videography) of historic downtown Lewisburg, WV! This beautiful town will definitely be placed on my bucket list to visit. I also really appreciate how you purposely paid homage and gave respect to the dead in those beautiful cemeteries. What a heartfelt thing to do, thank you! I, too, love antiquing and found those antique shops to be spectacular! Cudos, go to David and Alicia for noticing your roadway hitch hiking efforts, stopping by to pick you up, and driving you to Lewisburg, WV so that you could make this fabulous video! Okay Todd. I like your videos. BUT. When you stopped at that nigro's headstone and said respect, it was totally inappropriate. Because he wasn't fighting for the country, he was fighting for his freedom. Oh well, they gave them absolute freedom in the 1970's and look what is happening on our streets right now. Instead of giving him freedom, they had to put him on a ship and take him back to Africa like other nigroes. Was it worth it to give them freedom instead of putting them on ships and kicking them back to Africa? Rhetorical question.

Lewisburg is known as an arts community and was named by National Geographic as one of America’s Coolest Small Towns. Carnegie Hall is one of a handful of Halls financed by Andrew Carnegie. Lots of concerts and art exhibits there throughout the year. There is also a cross shaped cemetery which has Confederate soldiers who died in the battle there. The New Year’s Day parade there is the most unique parade in America.

I live and work in NC but i have a nice little hideaway/house in Quinwood, that's about 35 mins from Lewisburg and a high rent district compared to Quinwood area

My dad is from Nettie just up the road from quinwood and when he was a kid there was actually a doctor in quinwood they went to. You’re right about the high rent, Lewisburg real estate is strictly for the wealthy.

@@Commentleaver-c6x Quinwood is still a town of under 300 people but my time there was great and SO quiet even though it wasnt the high rent district. Actually i sold my house there in April, 3 realtors said i could make a SERIOUS profit so i listed it and it sold in less than a week. Looking at another place now in Whitby. Lewisburg was voted the coolest town in the Country. You really cannot beat the house prices and taxes in most of WV, my property tax was 170.00 annually!!!!!! Honestly i miss the house but it will be replaced, my house was right by the Crighton school.
