Hey Lewis, what I take away from this interview is your style of asking questions. You're just like a kid - in the very best sense :-) - asking "How?" and "Why?" and "What for?" until their brain is squeezed empty of preconceived answers and the truth comes out. I admire your knack for cornering your interview partners in the most loving way. (Maybe it's just me, but I guess you asked a few questions that no one else ever dared ask this man.) Thanks a lot for continually inspiring us!

There is so much wisdom in these words and it will take a few listens to seriously let it soak in. I love his answer to "living in a fantastic state." Remember -- no amount of suffering or feeling bad for someone else can change their circumstance. Life is full of miracles, every single day. Stay inspired, Lewis.

First of all the discussion was so well oriented and point to point going. Heartily Thanks Both of You great people for sharing ur ideas about humanity and on beautiful state . I m 24 yr old from Rajasthan India ,Final year Medical student (MBBS) going to become Doctor . very proud of it .To able to serve suffering people by external causation (like trauma or any illness) I never tried Meditation or thing like that in my life .today I watched ur vedio discussion with Krishna ji and his supper cool wife .AFTER THAT I had meditated for 15 mint . I was amazing experience so positivity it gives to soul. U are doing great service for humanity. meditation actually heal self suffering (over thinking and all) . That can't be treated by medicine .

Wow this hits deep for me. I suffer over my son and his athletic future. And to hear that I can decide not to stay suffering anymore is a blessing. So I am and have been serving others and this does bring me happiness. Not focusing on my sorrow and what I cant control. Your show is a blessing. Thank you.

Lewis, I have watched many of your videos and this is one of your best. Your discussion with Krishnaji is the bottom line of life. Also, you were outside of your own space and did not appear out of control. You are two gentle spirits who met...Actually he said to you "I love you", "Its such A joy to relate to you". Beautiful. Am glad you got so much out of it. I just wrote a book on this - Journey Home: Finding Peace and Love (Amazon). Looking forward to seeing more of this in your work. Congrats!

Thanks a lot Lewis for sharing interview with Krishnaji. Truly awesome conversation. To state in one sentence "Krishna ji is a wonderful being". Just being in his presence puts you into wonderful states. Just attend and experience. Feel honored to have spent quality time in presence/company with Krishna ji many-a-times and ever grateful.

thank you so much for this interview. at first, I was skeptical at the idea that suffering is self-centric, because this doesn't register to me in terms of social injustice issues. but I understand now that what he is explaining is that we don't have to suffer while we are seeking to improve our lives. that it is possible to have inner peace in the midst of chaos, which allows us to then navigate the aches of the world from a place of stillness.

isabelle happyfeet `it is possible to have inner peace in the midst of chaos"...yes...totally agree and for me that is the essence and benefit of meditation 🤗🤗

The aches of the world become our perceptions. Man's Search for Meaning (the book) was about how he found meaning in the worst conditions of the world and practiced deep, authentic gratitude. Powerfu!

I have never commented on a video before but feel drawn to do so as I am reading through the other comments. I agree with what many others are saying - that this interview is very well conceived. I think my favourite aspect is that Lewis is not using his Ipad to follow along pre-written questions which makes this a very honest and heartfelt exchange (not knocking the use of the Ipad in general, just to be clear) and particularly important given the topic of conversation. I too was slightly thrown off by Krishnaji's responses where he says he does not have any questions needing answers, regarding his spirituality. Though I suppose when one has the opportunity throughout childhood and makes the decision into their adult life to have spirituality be the focus of their existence, and if that belief is truly that the answers are within ourselves, then Krishnaji's response makes sense. I guess it is easy for us to judge what we cannot understand, and since at this moment in my life, I cannot understand being in the position of not having questions/requiring answers regarding my spirituality, I cannot quite comprehend it. After all, I am only on Day 8 of a consistent meditation practice and though this concept does make sense in theory, I am unsure about cultivating such a strong sense of self-understanding and introspection. Speaking of meditation, what Krishnaji says regarding meditation is very interesting as well: L: Why is meditation so powerful? K: Meditation becomes powerful when you apply wisdom. Meditation should go along with wisdom. L: So, not just meditating to meditate and not understanding why you are meditating. K: Yeah. There has to be a purpose for meditation and that purpose must have the right path, then you are meditating in the right way. Otherwise, meditation by itself has no purpose. It might make you feel good but you will not have achieved anything by it. As a newbie to meditation I find this somewhat confusing. Is it not purpose enough to meditate with the intention of being still? Most of what I have read so far about meditation is that just like anything else, it is a muscle that needs to be worked in order to see 'results'. Introducing other purposes and potential paths of wisdom to a meditation practice (in my opinion) seems to be something that can be introduced only when one has a relative grasp on the concept and experience of meditation. In a world that is so fast paced, being still and slowing down seems like a very wise path for meditation. Again, I am new to meditation and as I have not yet experienced focus and deep relaxation in my practice, this is really just speculation. Lastly, the concept of ending our own suffering by recognizing that we are only experiencing suffering as a result of our egos and self-centred focus, is also blurry. So much of what Lewis's colleagues talk about is confronting the dark corners within ourselves (pain and suffering), experiencing them and then moving forward through them and as a result of them into something that is light and powerful because we are owning our shadows. When I listen to this interview I feel as though I am being directed to snap out of that process, and almost as though that very process is too self-centric to engage in? That makes me uneasy but maybe I am not understanding it entirely. This interview is jam packed - so much so that I haven't even finished it yet. It does seem a shame that only those with some serious expendable cash can partake in the actual courses but that seems to be the way for a lot of spiritual retreats and experiences. Much like having access to a quality psychologist is available only to the middle to upper class in this world, I have a hard time processing that. Maybe that will be an aspect of my spiritual path, creating access to spiritual/healthy living retreats and mental health assistance for those who cannot afford it. Most of the books by Lewis and his colleagues aren't even available at my local library. In my spiritual and personal health journey I find that I am often shocked by this: getting healthy in all aspects of living is mostly for those who can afford it and that isn't cool. Maybe every spiritual and public leader should have a percentage of their services and offerings available to those who cannot afford it at a reduced rate or for free - creating opportunities for those who are left out due to lack of financial abundance, to be invited in to the same circle. Very thought provoking, this interview - that's for sure.

There is a 28 day Ekam Tapas program designed by Sri Krishnaji and Sri Preethaji. It is all about looking at the truth. 28 days of Tapas is entirely about how to look at the truth and journey towards truth seeking continues till one becomes intensely aware so as to not stand a minute thoughts causing one to suffer. It's an endless but very enjoyable and fulfilling journey towards freedom.

Great interview Lewis. I feel like this is what I needed to hear. I particularly like the questions you answered at the end as to why people suffer, especially in the US. This interview also reinforced what Tony Robbins said during your last interview that all suffering is obsession with self. A great point I had never thought of what the ideals, and how being grateful has also become an ideal.Thank you for sharing this with us!

There is no absolute path to getting or achieving anything. A lot of times what we're actually looking for is a guaranteed path to succeed and that builds expectation and when that path doesn't work, we suffer. "No expectations, no suffering!" Lewis, I am wondering, had you asked these series of questions before going to India, would you have still gone there? I listened to the podcast and midway, he claimed that he has found answer to ALL questions. WOW; someone who knows everything. Also, he claims that religion is looking outside in and is a belief that pins your problems on someone else and looks for solutions inside. This must have been the absolute dumbest thing I have ever heard (not exclusive to his limited and small mind either, Pima Chedron believes the same). I believe listening to him will lower ones IQ by at least 10 points.. You know, between Krishnaji and me, we know everything there is to know. He knows everything and I know he is a bore.
