...and now 3 of us! Took the tradtional route and ultimately, did not work in my favor. As a girl growing up, I was taught many limiting beliefs around my ability to earn money. 💰 I bought into if I get VERY educated & follow my passion of serving children, everything would work out. Time for a transformation in thinking.

@@ignacioxxxarge he takes out loans using his stock (shares) as collateral - the likeliest way I see it working is he gives shares to the loaner and receives cash/whatever he is trying to loan, meaning that he hasn't spent any money on the loan hence why he should be tax-free on that front, and the money he receives as the loan is also tax-free obviously. I would assume he's paying for the loan in the current dollar value of the stock shares he's exchanging, meaning that if Tesla are the shares he wants to use and the shares are $100 each (for example), for a loan of $1000 he would simply exchange 10 shares of said stock. This is all speculation though, he might just have to pay more in current dollar value due to market volatility, I don't know for sure.

Not everyone was tuned into that mindset. In jaspreet's case his family engrained it to him because of wealth and status. Every job in the world is not something that everyone can do. I am hotel reservationist from being hotel receptionist. Can you do what I do? No. Accommodation is also a need for people. Am I passionate about my job? Yes! It gives me fulfillment but does it bring wealth for me to be able to give me future security? NO. I think people need to be honest as well that at the end of the day, we all need to be financial secured not just for ourselves but also for the people that we love and care for

yep plus his knowledge is real.. he speaks about all his hardships and failures along with his successes than just showing off ferraris and big houses. when he said that people go product rich but asset poor because they feel like they need to keep up appearances is a sad part of society that needs to change.. because ppl feel the need to flex/show off or keep up the appearances is mostly simply because they don't want to get hurt by other ppl in society who look down on ppl that dont seem to have stuff that is in those ppls eyes needed to be rich+be respected for being rich and hence ppl subtly/blatantly shame other ppl for not owning a certain product when owning most of them just gonna make ppl poorer while ppl that have such a mindset of shaming ppl and guaging their value or basing their treatment of ppl depending on ppls money they make should be the ones that should be ashamed.... its because of the loop of shaming each other + being ashamed of poverty and then having too hide it is the reason why ppl and majority of society remains stuck in that cycle while being psychologically distressed abd afraid instead of breaking free of all that actually pursuing more important things like actually growing n building ones wealth with assets etc, environment, society, relationships,health etc which give ppl happiness more than a luxury bag (whats more is that ppl can look classier even without any luxury items with right style choices and might not look classy with them if styling choices were wrong and many times there r better choices than overpriced luxury brands as well)... not that ppl should be judged for how they look but since wanting to look good can be a choice because ppl maydo so for themselves n their own visual self satisfaction and not for social proof..

The key is to stay out of debt as much as you can and save as much as you can. Try to keep your life as easy as possible. Stay out of trouble with the law and don't rack up a lot with credit cards . Buy a car new and keep it for 15 to 20 years or until it needs a lot of major repairs. Get a house that is well within your means. If you are single, you don't need 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. Don't try to impress people by trying to outdo them. You're in a race that somebody else has already won. IF you get a really good job in life do EVERYTHING in your power to keep it Don't quit or get fired from that job. .Also when you get money DO NOT use a financial advisor. These people are scammers and will steer u in bad investments. Hope this all helps you.

I am Asian. I grew up in a totally different culture and mentality. I never have debt in my life. And in China, I hardly hear anyone come out of college in debt. Their parents will pay for it. When they get a job, they help to take care of their parents even parents might not need it. When I came to Western world and heard about the huge amount of tuition fee and how it kept an average person still paying the student loan back 10-20 years after graduating college, it was shocking to me.

It's not the West - but the US! I live in Belgium, I have a master's degree, and I was not indebted when I obtained it. The US people love to buy on credit, they have multiple credit cards which seems crazy to me, they don't know how to live according to their income, they haven't paid their houses but multiply their loans for cars and whatever. It will be their downfall.

In UK a student loan is not considered a bad thing. It pays your tuition fees & accomodation. You will only start repaying that loan let's say for example you start earning £2,724 per month the government will deduct only a small amount from your salary. But if your salary is less than that, you don't pay a thing. So if your salary remains below the repayment threshold for 30 yrs, your debt is written off or cleared. Hospitals are also free. Education is free except University.

Being a doctor is a brutally hard life in many ways. Long crazy hours, sometimes awful clientele, costly insurances, they earn what they get. Insurance companies run the show in the US. “Go to school and get a degree”=terrible debt. You are so correct…it’s all lies. I raised a large family as a divorced mom, in extreme poverty. Of course I directed my kids to get an education for a “goo” job, most of which turned out to be very stressful not-so-nice jobs. Huge debt.everything this guy says makes sense, but applying it is another thing altogether.

It's extremely frustrating and difficult but with God's grace we can still keep trying and learning. I love you. Your intelligence and your bravery!! You are going to finish your dreams no matter how long it takes. Amen.

I ran into this a lot growing up. I was sent to several private middle and high schools growing up. I also went to summer camps where there were a lot of rich kids. As a young adult, I interviewed at several businesses in northern Michigan where it really didn't matter how smart you were, the only thing that really mattered was Who you knew. I speak from experience when I say, these people are very snobby, arrogant, and think that everyone who isn't a millionaire is beneath them. What we have in the US, (and UK) is very similar to India's caste system. I would love to see all of this disgusting class warfare completely upended some day. Thank

Same here. I grew up in Boca Raton Florida. In 1970 39% of the residents of Boca were millionaires. I dated a girl whose grandfather was Frédéric Rentschler who started and owned Prett and Whitney Aircraft. I was in a band with a kid whose grandfather was Mr Hoover who had the vacuum cleaner. I also went to school with all the grandchildren of all the Mafia Godfathers of the 5 families. And this was in public school. But you're right, they are all incredibly arrogant. Their shit doesn't stink so they think but yours does. Hey, you can't blame them because they are brainwashed to think that way from birth. As long as they don't terribly screw up and ruin the Family name they will be set for life especially after their parents die. It was fun and enlightening being around these people but I wouldn't trade places with any of them. They are a different kind of slave that's all.

Taking action is repellent to failure. Always be doing SOMETHING. You have problems, You're too poor, too weak, too ignorant. Your competition wastes mountains of time. Repeat in the mirror three times. Action repels failure. Action repels failure. ACTION REPELS FAILURE. Stop spending so much time "thinking" and spend more time DOING. Watch your entire life change.

My electric bill money and my 12 dollars for bank dues . This is the best I can do . Pay my bills and eat is pretty much it. Although , eating is a concern at this time. Yes it would be great to hear more about ideas for those 50+ not just those below this age. Not much out there currently, wondering how much in the western world ageism really has an influence... The media, and charities, research like Age Concern suggests there is a huge bias. If you have made good choices/had very good experiences when younger then this isn't needed, which seems less common(or simply enhances your situation)how about for those who didn't and want to turn things around? Imagine if you have no support from family and doing it alone, sometimes struggling with health issues. There are many people in this situation, often the silent majority. Eg. Women on average living longer than men, left as widows. This is more challenging. Please consider covering these issues more. Thanks

So well said. I had an undiagnosed genetic illness that financially wiped me out (and I invested well!). I’m 49 and living in a van… I need options that don’t require I set the world on fire and are realistic. Ageism is huge definitely too.

Now this is something that I feel is more important because it has so much details on what to do.

Lewis, thank you so so much for this interview. This is what I've learned and going to implement immediately.... 1. I was thinking of buying a new car worth around 60k by putting down 40k that I have as down payment and getting the balance finance. Not happening now. I'll buy a nice used car with what I've got. No bad debt! 2. Going to team up with my daughter and son who are still in university and school respectively and work part-time too and buy 1 gold bar (1 oz) every month. Thank you Jas....stay blessed 🙏

I found this to be interesting. Everything discussed here resonated strongly with me. I know all the stuff this guy is talking about, but it's really because I picked finance as a major in school. This was one of the best decisions I ever made. A lot of people out there are very clueless about finance, investing, or really anything at all related to money. At least a few finance-based courses should be mandatory for every high school student in America!
@meech7520
@meech7520 2 жыл бұрын
It's NO COINCIDENCE that finance courses aren't mandatory for high school education. If we know it, what makes you think the people that create the high school curriculum don't know it. It's intentional! Too many financially educated graduates creates too few 'workers'.
