I like the point Lewis made about Breaking not being a thing that usually is done by PHD people. It’s just the reality, not a dig. But in this case Raygun used her connections with people in that world to take over an expression from people who aren’t as educated, but who can mop the floor with Ray Gun in a fair fight. And by a long, long, long way. There is a reason Raygun scored not one point. She 100% should not have been there. Raygun took someone else’s dream to make a mockery of Australian breakdancing. I grew up doing it and going in competitions and even back then in the beginning Australians always were good at it. Thankyou for calling this out, Lewis.

She's a shitty person and no mental health diagnosis is a good enough explanation - people who have this condition are not all bad people and often suffer due to their own symptoms that they are unaware of, maybe if we had more empathy it would not go undiagnosed and treatment would be accessable. There is no diagnosis for bad, abusive or immoral people - some symptoms might include immoral behaviours which is both subjective and not required for diagnosis. Pop psychology sucks ass. what's more self absorbed than diagnosing people without personally knowing them and having the medical training to do so? Again, I am not saying she definitely does not have it but the only way someone can diagnose such a thing is by actually administering her a test and has a good idea on her character behind closed doors along with proper training, those speculating do more harm to those affected by NPD (including the loved ones of the diagnosed, mental illness can make victims dismiss abuse which is why it's important to seperate symptoms from behaviour and character)

It has, but they got no form of sponsorship or support for any official events because people like her husband have kept it locked to an inner circle of talentless narcissists. It is all literally in the hands of a bunch of ex-ballroom dancers, which include Raygun.
@Tamajyn6916 күн бұрын
The fact she got through is an absolute joke. Walk around darling harbour in sydney on any night and you'll see groups of kids and uni students dancing and breaking that would absolutely trounce raygun. All this really proves is the olympics is a nepotism competition, it's not the best athletes that get to go, it's thr people who have money and connections and have access to "the correct channels"
@NTB_Retro16 күн бұрын
Not all of the Olympics is like this. Other sports within the olympics have far more established and long running governing bodies and pathways to the Olympics. Obviously breaking in Australia doesn’t have anywhere near the structure of things like swimming and athletics etc Totally agree it’s still a joke she got in…

i'm so intrigued by this woman's inability to stop commenting on and pursuing this situation, as though she could make people stop laughing at her if she talked and legalised enough and is surprised it's not working. This is one of the biggest Streisand Effects I've ever seen, because her inability to just take the L and stop mentioning it has of course made everyone dig deeper, looking for humour and coming up with genuine dirt. like, ever since day one when she came out blasting with "you will recognise this olympic-level move as the result of ten years worth of practice" it has been so clear that there's nothing she will ever be able to say to unscrew herself from the laughing stock position she put herself in. There is nothing she could have done (on purpose) that'll ever be funnier than that legal letter, but she kept acting like there was a way for her to turn this back around. so, she kept talking and making demands for this to stop despite everyone knowing and telling her it wouldn't work, until she got so much attention people started asking very serious questions. jesus raygun ya should've known ya lost this one the second it started (much like your olympic performance)

I have a crazy theory, The IOC weren't happy about the decision to include breakdancing in the Olympics, there was much division. They cooked up a plan to sabotage breakdancing from ever having chance at becoming a fixed Olympic event. It was easy they had the perfect weapon, Raygun. This is my grand conspiracy theory. You're welcome

Whether money should go into her pockets or to a women's shelter historically isn't a difficult decision for her at all. She scored 0 points. In order for her selection to be legitimate, the panel has to have genuinely believed that the other applicants would score fewer than 0 points.
