Nowadays rappers who were never even successful while alive will get fame posthumous just cuz the fact they got killed. If there was a scene like that back in the 90’s you guys would have a lot of stories similar to the drill scene from that era too. Theres always been rappers who were really about the life they rap about and those who arent but there wasnt an avenue for their stories to get out to the masses back then. Maybe things would be better if there still werent. At the end of the day regardless of ur generation murdering people is just not a good way to find success or happiness in life we probably shouldnt glorify it
