I applaud Lex Luger for being open and admitting his steroid use, which is very rare among wrestlers to admit using steroids despite how common it was back in the 1980’s and 1990’s. I have a lot of respect for him after seeing his interviews, he’s got nothing to hide.

@blueblur22735 жыл бұрын
@Man E Mr. J I'm not arguing his wrestling abilities or mic work. I agree they weren't anything special. I only had an issue with you saying he wasn't ever a top tier guy. Also you don't necessarily need to have the 3 things you mentioned to get over. Look at Goldberg. Goldberg was the most over thing in WCW and he couldn't talk or wrestle. Sting was red hot in 97(probably the hottest he has ever been in his career) from mostly spending his time in the rafters and not talking or wrestling for a whole year. Both Goldberg and Sting were more over than Ric Flair had ever been in WCW. Another category which I think your forgetting is a signature move which is really what got Luger over in 97. The torture rack was one of the most over moves in WCW. Luger torture racking everyone in 97 is what propelled him to top tier status for a little while. So yes Luger lacked in ring ability and mic skills but he made up for what he lacked in his look and signature move.

He underwent intravenous antibiotic treatment and was expected to make a full recovery. Nearly a month after his spinal stroke, Luger was still in a quadriplegic state, having no movement in either his arms or legs. In June 2008, Luger was said to be able to stand on his own for short periods of time and walk using a walker. In 2010, Luger stated in an interview that he was able to walk more comfortably, and was now able to drive."--Wikipedia A Spinal Stroke occurs due to blood clot blockage to the spinal cord.
