The coach of the Rose must feel pressure to start Angel; because otherwise, there's no logical reason that Lexie wasn't a starter beginning with game 1. Angel looks awkward when she runs, dribbles the ball, tries to drive to the hoop, and shoot layups. On the other hand, Lexie runs and plays like a true coordinated athlete with skills.

Two years ago she averaged 20 minutes a game, so she did get playing time. In fact slightly more than she did this last season. If she winds up playing 25 minutes this year and keeps shooting like she did for the 2nd half of last season, most improved player seems fitting.

Lexie is a high IQ efficient player who can shoot from wherever on the court. She makes great cuts to the basket, understands spacing and is always in the right spot on offense or defense. Reese - it is hard to watch her shoot - her form is awful. Even on layups, she brings the ball low (below her shoulders to shoot (does the same on outside shots to the extent she takes them). She has moves around the basket but when it comes time to shoot, she looks like she has no idea what to do with the ball. Very strange.

She is a relentless defender and a 3 point sniper, but taking people off the dribble and contested shots (and if weren't being honest, contested lay ups, are not, or at least were not, in her tool kit, and embarrassing things happened when she tried. I think a beautiful combination of CC rubbing off on her and her skill set coming of age are what we're seeing. If she keeps growing we wont be talking about the Fever Core 3. The quality of LHs play makes it apparent that the prejudice toward CC is infected all of women's basketball. Piling on the BS will kill Womens Basketball. And Lexi D is best by far on the team. I didn’t watch end of second game either. They are close to losing a fan. Nola Henry should answer for her decisions on not playing Lexi. In terms of points/minutes, Lexie is off the charts. The head coach of Rose is (or was, hopefully) invested in the WNBA skin color narrative and suppressing Clark & friends of Clark. Angel Reese is a remarkably unskilled player. She's also an spectacular, unbelievably tenacious player, that normally more than makes up for it. However, I think these factors will affect her fortunes in different environments. College is a good place for her. 5:11 multiple timeouts now we can hear Rose's coach asking the players what to do --- i think the louder and more dominant players, or with more seniority got to dominate more minutes because of that. iiii dont see Lexi forcing herself back onto the court even if she knew that she'd be the best option at the time.

@GreatlinClarkFan-c5h
@GreatlinClarkFan-c5h 13 күн бұрын
And let me tell what happened with Lexie today... The "Squad" of the WNBA has had this thing for Fever players. Initially, they brought them on trying to lure Caitlin, but CC did the smart thing and sat out. So what happened with Aliyah, Lexie and Katie Lou? ALL of them were benched for their first few games and when they'd be allowed to play, they'd immediately start to ball and would get taken out of the games AGAIN! It's like they didn't want to allow them to shine, like they'd rather lose than let them get good looks. In this game between Rose and the Mist, they had Angle in, she would lose their leads and made two baskets all game. So, they'd pull Lexie in and she'd go on a tear and dominate the court, then when they were up by double digits, they'd pull her back out and bring Angle in AGAIN and AGAIN they'd lose the lead! At one point, Angle got the chance at a nice easy bunny, ran down the court with no one else around and came to a screeching stop waiting for one of her teammates to come up so she could pass the ball off! She didn't have what it took to make that shot and she'd rather "not" humiliate herself. After all the talk of her getting in practice and learning how to do a simple layup with Phee & Lisa Leslie that had to be an embarrassment for them. Why in the name of all that is good does a professional basketball player and NCAA champion need to learn how to shoot a middie and make layups? Why does she need to "work on her shot" so much? Aren't professionals supposed to know who to play basketball before they get signed to a team? Anyway, the capper to all this after the game was that some graphics came out announcing that Rose had won and guess who's face they had planted on it? ANGLE REECE as the face of Rose! The player who barely made two shots (and missed about have a dozen shots) all night was put up as the image of victory for the night! Not Kahleah Copper with 18 points, not Lexie Hull with 19 points in TEN MINUTES, but Angle Reece! This is just insane how women's professional basketball continue to try to prop up a player that literally broke the all time record for missed layups (131) and what's worse, she managed to do that in barely half the season that she lasted. She shot 17% from the paint and was the most blocked player in the WNBA in a season of all time (again, in HALF the season). Kahleah left Chicago early in the year because of the drama, Mabrey left mid-season because of the drama, Chennedy benched herself late in the season and Izzy & Dana were screaming to get out themselves with their post game hostage tape interview. And why? Because they were being threatened and attacked for succeeding in Sky and winning games again after Reece left and by Chicago fans. The toxicity of the WNBA has followed into Unrivaled. There were some good games this weekend, but they still need to get that social engineering out of how they work and just put up their best players. When Reece was off the court, Rose came back roaring like a freight train. When she was on, they'd start to fall behind again. The game should've never had been that close. Even Stevie Wonder could see what was going on there.

You forgot to mention that she still double dribbles, passes the ball to herself and walks often. After all the years of playing basketball she still doesn't know the basics of dribbling, her fundamentals are horrible. I've been watching basketball for a few decades and I've never seen anything in any sport like what goes on with the WNBA and women's basketball. NCAA women's basketball is a better product than the pros imo, it's almost like some of the players regress once they get to the pros. The record she broke for being the most blocked player in WNBA history had stood for 25 years of more.

I'd like someone to explain why the Phantom keep their non-shooters back beyond the shoulder on offense. Possession after possession I watch one person go into the paint to shoot while the other two hang back. As a result they only ever get one chance to score and get very few offensive rebounds. How can you outscore any opponent when you miss 6 out of 10 shots and only get 5 team OBs for a whole game???

I'm sorry, but I had to give this video a BIG THUMBS DOWN. Rosalina is supposed to be some kind of reporter, but at the 1:25 mark she is reciting a ho-hum listing of Breanna Stewart's accomplishments, and she states...."she went to UCONN...she won a natty..." Umm Rosalina, she won FOUR NATTYS! That's kind of big deal to leave out. Then Rosalina goes on to say...'she went to the Storm; dominant team.." SHE WON THEM 2 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS! You are usually good, but disrespect to you in this video for attempting to downplay Breanna's achievements. You gush all over Caitlin, but what is your problem with Breanna? I am not particularly a fan of hers, but give credit where it is due.
