I really do like the newer cream/powder blushes. These look nice. Would love a comparison in colors between similar shades between the cream ones and these. That way we can decide if it’s worth getting any of these or more cream ones.

I am so happy to hear about the reformulation of the powder blushes. I have been using them since the 80's. Other than the horrible last reformulation, they have always been my favorite blusher. I guess they are not baked anymore if there is some product kick up. I cannot wait to get a few of them. As always, thank you for your wonderful reviews!

Just got the classic 72 rose initial - after years of avoiding it for being permanent and dry, bc the cream ones reminded me of this wonderful rose scent! about one week before reformulation and i'm still glad i did. I want it to be a cooler, lighter pink.

I have combo/oily skin and this velvet foundation was my go-to way back in the day. I do remember it was highly fragranced so much so I’d smell it all day. But man, it looked pretty and worked for my skin type. I will definitely try this in the summer. I think it may be too matte for me in the winter. (I have no dewy primers) I have been waiting to hear about the new Chanel blush reformulation!! Woot! I’d have thought they’d really want to publicize the formulation change because the previous reformulation stunk! I am definitely getting Brun Rouge 🤩 On a separate note, your hair looks fantastic today! (It always does, but these very loose waves are so pretty)

Hi Lexi, great review and I agree, the new foundation is fantastic and so flattering and blurring for a matte! The new formula blushes look great on you and glad that they're an improvement. I had Quintessence in the previous formula, threw away as horrid and hard work - was so hard and couldn't get anything on brush then it faded away on cheeks too. Btw I love your eyeshadow and nails!

I ordered the velvet foundation in Br12 which works pretty well I love the texture and finish and the color match is pretty good since I’m fair, cool rosy tone. I tried the Quintessence shade just to see and the formula reminds me of the old formula that I loved so much. It has the same pigmentation and green color payoff like the old ones too and last all day. I’m definitely going to order more since this is a formula I can get behind and will definitely use!! 😍😍😍

Thank you! It depends what type of formula you prefer. The Valentino are creamier while the Chanel are more powdery. I really like both of them. My nails are Mooncat Lust For Vengeance. They've had some great launches recently!

Check to see what it says on the back. The new ones are marked 5g instead of 6g. If you have the older ones, it's hit or miss as some of mine are fine and others hard panned pretty much immediately. If you have the older ones, I'd try to exchange for the newer version if possible.

I think it would do pretty well since it doesn't seem to gather into fine lines and it isn't one of those formulas that sets too quickly. I would suggest getting a sample if possible but I think the blurring effect will make this a good option.
