Lexin GTX Bluetooth Headset - Easy to Pair?

Bluetooth motorcycle headsets are always a pain to pair up with others for group rides. The Lexin GTX is supposed to make those headaches go away. Does it? In todays video I test a pair of them as well as test with a non-Lexin brand to find out

Hi! I saw your interesting videos and I have a question please. I have the Lexin GTX installed on my helmet and paired with my phone. It works properly and nicely. Now, I want to buy another helmet for my wife and another LexinGTX to be installed on it. Would the pairing among helmet 1, helmet 2, and my phone be easy? Should I unpair my helmet from my phone fist in order to pair the two helmets? I look forward to receiving your assistance on this matter. Thanks a lot!

Good question. I always found unpairing from my phone first worked best. As sometimes it has problems if you're already pre-paired. You can try it first, but if it doesn't work. Un-pair it from the phone. After that you should be able to pair the 2 helmets and then after that, pair back to the phone.

Hi. Have you tried it with friends? How much distance is maximum in the city or highway?

I've tested it between riders although their headsets were not Lexin, so it's hard to say. But communication was fine up to I'd say about 500 feet. Then it would start breaking up. But then again, that could have been their headset, mine, or the environment. This was on rural roads with houses and trees. No buildings

You are 100% correct. I always wear my full gear when commuting to work or doing highway riding, but local short rides I usually skip the jacket. I know, that's bad practice and everyone should wear ATGATT! Thanks again for your concern

Hey Joe, so was the gtx being louder than the ms1 plus enough to convert you to using the gtx as your main? any other comments on these?

Unfortunately no. The reason being is the gtx is hard to use with gloves on. Buttons are hard to find and press. The Fodsports FX6 is very easy to use with the jog dial and easy press buttons, but the gtx actually sounds better. But all of that means nothing if you can't control it

@@aris3604 I liked the F6 better for button control alone. MS1 sounded a "little" better, but the controls on the FX6 were easier to use with gloves on

Thank you for your answer. Have you ever tried any of FX8 models (air, pro)? I think perhaps sound is better in fx8 than in fx6. Speaking of waterproofs level. We have rains quite often here. Have you used fodsports intercom in heavy rains?

Maybe you can find the customer service to ask for a pairing video (if you don't know how to operate or have questions)

I don't see why not? It has universal pairing so I'm sure it can, but of course I'm not 100% since I never did it
