Only complaint I would have had tbull is on your fighters you probably could have supported a few ships against air drops tbh..using them to spot a carrier is a big no no there aa is to strong for it to be worth while..

Nice Carrier play! I'm playing them some and improving, but I'm nowhere near good. Finding it difficult to play the Carriers very often because I'm just not a fan of the ship class. Use them mainly for spotting when I do. GG...enjoyed watching!

Planes are never immune to damage. But when you call them back they get out of range quickly by gaining altitude.

Great game for carrier skill I do agree though. An absolute blunder at the start of the game namely. A destroyer in B. U fly over to protect. And don't drop any fighters to cover him. Shoe on the other foot... u might be cursing the carrier fighters that abandon that obvious opportunity. Thats a noob mistake in my books. I always feel bad when an opportunity like thats missed. Especially as we know how important destroyers are early. Thats a high risk to let him go on his own. Kinda surprised. Maybe just a missed opportunity but... like I said.. that one move usually is a costly one. It doesn't take much for a destroyer to lose half their energy or more against a CV attack. That saiiiiiid.... U certainly did well in the CV skill department and showcased her offensive ability. I have had her up to 124,000 + with ridiculous amounts of torps and bomb hits too. *(Me and my nephew came back from being us 2 vs 4... including a carrier) It was perhaps our best comeback and game. Got high caliber and 1st too. The CV does scratch an itch... for me. But it lacks the intensity of a defensive play in the game. Anyhow... amazing damage done! Absolute beasted this man. Gjob!!!

Yeah I haven't ingrained the fighter planes into my carrier game yet. Compared to the other classes where I have several thousand games each, and only two or three dozen in carriers, I am still in the noob phase for sure

Planes are definatly not immuned once you call them back, they dodge better, but if you call them back in flak, they gone.

Solid game! A little unsolicited advice: try to be aware of opportunities to deploy your support fighters. They absolutely EAT the other guy’s planes. There was a number of times watching this where I saw moments to protect your team that you flew by. Keep up the great work, man.

You need to remember to use your fighter squadrons. They will take out the enemy bombers before they have a chance to do any damage.

How effective do you find them to be? I don't have enough experience with them yet to know exactly what their value is

Fighters can destroy all 6 squadron planes. Its all about timing when to spawn them. I spawn them sometimes to help teammates when enemy Carrier attacking them.

I'm not aware of the range. Usually I put them in the general area and they go get them. It really is an under used tool. The enemy carrier doesn't even realize what happened half the time.

High damage games really just means looking for opponents with damage control on cooldown or creating those opportunities yourself. Which I honestly think is the role CVs take in exception to the Germans who use AP bombs. For everyone else, flood and fire is friend.

They all are good ships and you can make a case for any of them. If you understand the US destroyer role as a counter-destroyer and objective capturer then I would say that is the best of the three

Did they change commanders for CVs? I noticed you had fish boy as an inspiration. But I understand that most pre-CV commander skills don't apply to carriers. I.e. "Increase torpedo Speed" doesn't affect your bombers. You would need "increase torpedo speed for torpedo bombers"

I've checked it by swapping out the perks, fish boy does increase the torps speed of the bombers

Do you think fighter plane drops are best used in first half of game or second half? Best for protecting destroyers in smoke or battleships getting swarmed? Is it shared number of consumables for both plane types or separate?

Regardless of the class, the consumables should be used when needed. These carrier consumables are plentiful enough that I rarely run out of them. Still working on remembering to use the fighter squads and trying to learn just how effective they are

That's crazy how your squadron flew over 3 bb and you managed to launch two lots of torps. AA is garbage. And if you spec into AA to help out your division against plans you sacrifice so many other traits. Nice work T Bull, good game. One thing I notice alot is not many people drop support planes fir their team mates or that last enemy ship, instead of attacking it, stay alive and keep it spotted for your team. Cv definitely need a buff in hiw they get a good score, it will be good when they bring out the spotting ribbon. Do you know if WG will bring out any medals for cv?

That's a good question. I would think they will, I think there's 2 or 3 medals on the PC version that have to do with the planes or shooting them down

I suspect we will get legendary CVs. If they get the same aircraft the T10 CVs get you should be afraid. Very afraid.
