My hometown, born on the Erlanger Village. Was a great village to live in with all the amenities - general store, post office, dentist, doctor, nurse, YMCA, the mill. Over 300 homes to house the workers and a swimming pool. One day a year the mill held a picnic for the villagers with all the BBQ you could eat, along with potato salad, coleslaw, beans, hotdogs, desserts. A true feast.

Loved this vlog! We live in Wake Forest, but we love visiting Lexington. We will be coming to the BBQ Festival in October. I discovered your channel this weekend, and I am enjoying watching your adventures.

Nicely done. Agree with the stores you visited. Candy factory, Conrad & Hinkle is a must. Lexington BBQ is fantastic. Have to check out the BBQ center downtown for there famous banana splits. Also the Annual Lexington BBQ festival held usually at the end of October.

I'm from the UK, but have visited NC a few times when visiting my (then) long distance girlfriend a few years ago, it's lovely seeing the town centre again and remembering some of the places!

Where would you stay(hotel wise) if you don’t drive and want to visit

Hi Victoria, I drove and came back the same day. The town is not that large but there are several hotel options. I would go to one of discount sites to look and see what is avail such as Expedia. I hope you have a great time.
