It was 1986, I was 16 years old and standing stage side to see Ann and Nancy rip through their set list that included the hits from there mega-hit album, the eponymously named "HEART" for my first "out of town', "on my own" concert. I know what they sounded like at the top of their game and you guys just flat-out nailed it. When you can copy Ann Wilson's vocals like that, your on to something. Ann & Nancy would be proud! Oh…my…gosh. That was … wow. Ya know, I liked the version of this one that you guys did previously, I thought it was pretty good. But this one… wow. She so NAILED those vocals. The vocal range on that song is crazy and she absolutely slammed it. She has obviously been working hard on doing that one, very nice. Everyone else did really great too, of course. And I have to call out the engineering. The effects on the mix were perfect, especially the vocals! Very nice. There’s a requisite choral/reverb balance for the vocals on that song you just have to get right, if you want to do that song right. Easy to over do, get bleed, saturation, clipping, over compress, etc. I have to say, you guys have seriously mastered the art of doing covers. These iconic songs have so many nuances that you have to work HARD to reproduce. Any really good band CAN do them, but getting all the little details just right… wow, that is hard. And it’s so different from one band to another, each singer, each original musician had these little tricks and talents, special things they would do, certain vocal qualities. You guys have so mastered how to do “all that”. This one was really impressive. What’s more impressive… some cover groups get really good at targeting one particular group’s stuff, maybe they get good at original stuff from one or two groups. But you guys have covered such a broad spectrum of genres and unique sounds. And have done them really well. That’s amazing, really.

That’s a significant improvement over the original LLB recording which was mind blowing. Jessica vocals much more powerful in every spot with zero let up (last time you could see the power but some soft spots). Reflects a much matured vocalist who is an expert at the craft. And the guitars were on fire. The arpeggios at end with the dueling guitar stance was awesome.

WOW. JUST WOW. Barracuda gave me goosebumps the first time I heard it in 1977. I have heard the song hundreds of times since then but no goosebumps until I just heard LLB cover it! I love this line-up. Jessica crushes the vocals and Ryan keeps time like a boss on a beat that is easy to let slip. Vandy takes one for the team playing acoustic on Barracuda. That is like showing up to a gun fight with a knife!
