Oh my gosh ! A while ago the Philippine Association of Law school had a lecture about Labor Law and Criminal Law and now here’s Persons and Families under Civil Code ! Wow just wow , thank you very much attorneys for giving your time and knowledge to us! Im a hopeful law student ! I want to enroll to law school after this quarantine it was my dream from the very beginning but I have no courage! Im a graduate of Customs Admin( I think its also a pre-law course) and Masters in B.A , and this quarantine made me realize that I really wanted to pursue Law ! Thank you to these online lectures ! The rule in Statutory Construction is that in case of conflict between an earlier law, and a later law - the two of them must be construed to give meaning to both. If that's not possible, then the later law prevails because it's the more recent/most updated expression of the will of the legislature. For Supreme Court decisions, very rarely do we encounter diametrically opposed decisions. I've been told that there's an entire team of lawyers whose job it is to find prior conflicting decisions. Conflicts are resolved by a clear abandonment at a later decision. The academe calls one of these decisions stray rulings, especially if they aren't reiterated at a subsequent decision. 😀❤️🙏🏼

Thank you Atty. 8 lang score ko po. Pero this was a fun experience and I truly enjoyed this lecture. Napapractice ko din po ang note taking ko po sa lecture na kaso nga lang, di ko pa rin maiwasan misan po na i-word for word and notes ko. It was also my first time reading a case. Para po akong nahilo the first time I saw the case. XD Reread ko nlng po yung tatlong case before the next video para na man po masanay utak ko pati na rin po yung self ko. Medyo naco-confused din po ako sa mga terminologies na ginagamit sa law. Thanks again atty. malaking tulong na po sakin, I know next to nothing about law before your vids.
