All YG idols were trained to write their lyrics, however as a group it depends on the contracts whether or not they are given credits. unfair yes. YG's training is one of the hardest and most complete in the industry, the agency has few groups but they always make a difference. And if the trainers do not debut with them, they are valued by other agencies❤

I think it's Ruka speaking on the last part trying to get things right with the members. She's the oldest and the younger ones will listen to her for sure. I mean, being the oldest I think gives her the right to straighten things out if needed. Ruka has the leader vibe in the group. Anyway, I'm nervous and excited for Ahyeon's performance. The writing thing I think is more of a YG thing as they tend to gear towards developing their trainees more as artists who can create by themselves than just idols who sing and dance. YG has been doing Survival shows since 2005 so those who watch YG survival shows are used to seeing trainees be heavily involved in writing, composing and producing for group and individual monthly evaluations like with G-Dragon and TOP for Bigbang, Yoon, Mino and Taehyun for Winner, BI and Bobby for Ikon and Yedam and Hyunsuk for Treasure. Typically it tends to remain that way even after they debut with G-dragon, Yoon and BI being the main writers and composers for their groups and other members contributing. This is why I'm happy seeing Ahyeon, Asa, Haram, and Ruka writing lyrics and stuff because it makes me hopeful that the girls would be involved in the creation of the group's music cos one big criticism of YG has been the fact that their female idols are not as creatively involved in their music as the male idols.

The next Ep, the group vocal mission, I thought the producer wanted the girls to comeup with an outstanding performance as a k-pop group. It's kinda like let them be a team. See what and how will they develop, organize, syncronizing each of their talents together. It's a door for them tobe ready for debut effectively, I think!! Let me guess if this is the way this evaluation series gonna be like and to get through. At first, YG splitted them into 2 groups and do vocal mission to check if they can go well as a small team. Then, the second mission is all 7 members group dance with lipsing. The third mission is the solo performing. The forth mission is going to be a group vocal performance, all of them do it together the first time. And possibly the last and final set might have been a full live perfomance mission, sing-rap-dance altogether, before annouce the final evaluation deision. Babymonster gonna be a 7-members group and be ready to bebut.

Yeah it’s like we know Ahyeon is an all rounder..she’s an ace. But what YHS wants to see in solo stages is the girls being themselves, their genuine selves on that stage. She chose a song that has so many things going on and while SHE CAN DO IT. YHS, senior artists, and trainers already know and has seen Ahyeon’s previous evaluations where she sings and raps. BUT song choices are important and you have to show your strength and I think Ahyeon’s strength is her vocals. Don’t get me wrong she’s a good rapper too, but there’s Ruka and Asa who’s strength is rapping. I’m sure Ahyeon will get to have some rap parts in future songs. However, I think she has to focus on what she can do as a vocalist in this solo mission. I’m sure she will do amazing though! 👍👍👍

Great Reaction LexListens! BlackPink does know how to write lyrics but because they are happy with the songs that Teddy and the YG Producers write they don't make a fuss about it! But Jisoo said they are there when the songs are being put together or if it's one already written they still have to make it fit who they are they will make the any changes if needed! It's some of the fans that are always complaining about this but BlackPink and YG have a good understanding! This Born Pink Album was all their doing because they are the Creative Directors of this project and that's why they only had 8 songs! When Jennie talks about the Album she always says we did this and that! Jennie had two songs for her Solo! Solo and You and Me she chose Solo and now she's using You and Me unreleased on the World Tour! It's really funny that fans always complain about YG but BlackPink has never had any problems with YG! The thing that I hate the most about this company was the fact that when the girls were trainees,they give them freedom to write lyrics and even let them choreograph their steps to some monthly evaluations (Lisa mentioned it in their documentary that she always came up with their group choreography every month) but once they debut, they'll just let the producers, choreographers and writers do most of that instead. And I know and understand that it's their job and those people get paid to do that but I hope they give the girls the kind of freedom that their male artists have. Cause everyone see how biased they are to their male artist since then if we're being honest. Blackpink always put their inputs into their songs, sets, outfits and everything else but when it comes to writing, they rely on Teddy most of the time and he will still make the final decision in the end even if the girls presented their own lyrics so I think the blame was on him too, not just in Yg. If they don't want to credit them, they really won't. I really hope this doesn't happen to Babymonster cause they're talented and have a lot of potential. Hope this company won't waste that and don't hold them back like when they did to Blackpink during their rookie years.

It seems like Choice37 will be mainly handling BAEMON's music once they debut and in my personal opinion I think Choice is more open to the girls having their input unlike Teddy with BP. It is a shame because when Teddy was the main producer for YG he was really open for artists' input, there was a behind the scenes of GD, CL, and Teddy recording THE LEADERS and when he was struggling to find a hook he listened to GD's and CL's input and ended up using it in the final cut.

I heard that people say her sister Moon sua really looked up to him, must have been devastated to hear her brother passed away, ppl say it’s suicide but it’s not clear yet.
