Great content. Question/comment on first hand at 10/10 with AQ on BB. You check call on flop. If tendency of players is cbet as preflop raiser at such high frequency, and 2 players behind only call with such a connected board, would it make more sense to ch raise flop, given the 2 players that call shouldnt have strong hand when they call on this type of board? Such an interesting spot...you cant fold but your hand need protection. Keep up the great work

Love the vlog, and especially your thoughts about how you're playing hands and why. Keep up the great work. One suggestion: don't foreshadow the day's results ("I didn't make very good decisions this session"). Let us go into each hand fresh.
@FLSurfshredder3 жыл бұрын
He also foreshadows his hands during the hand as well, as if he is predicting what they have before making a (in the moment) bad call. No way he thought for sure he was behind or not but predicts they had it, but then called...? If he truly thought they had that hand, he would have just folded it. Hindsight is always 20/20 and it shows in his vlog. He is trying to mimic Neeme and Brad but lacks the uncertainty of his vlog. I like his narration other than that piece. If you take this criticism to heart and not take offense, then work on this part and you will succeed further in this vlog and the entertainment value will match what they provide. As far as your stake play, I think you may be playing above your knowledge point. You are purely gambling right now with your stake level, but that is just my opinion; not fact. Good luck mate and I enjoy your vlog so far. We are always learning, together.

The KK vs 3 people hand was tough. Having the straddle bet the flop and SB call, I would shove. The straddles range is so wide and the SB range is capped by calling. If the straddle somehow flopped two pair, congrats he gets all my chips. I'm not letting SB see the turn.

I had a pretty bad day at MC on 2-5 as well. All in pre-flop with KK against AK and he hit an A. Had AA, trapped an aggressive player on a rainbow board by checking the flop and he shoved with 78 on an 6-10-2 board and made the gut shot. And again, trapped a guy with a flipped top 2 and where bluffer air and got runner-runner backdoor hearts. Didn’t matter how well I was playing, (folded bottom two correctly on the flop putting the guy on top set and folded an 8 high flush putting the opponent on nut flush correctly) But nothing went my way

Love the vlogs... one comment about the pocket kings hand (9:02) - I think you really mis-played it on the flop. First, your analysis that it hits their range more than yours is a great reason to bet out, but even better reason to check-raise his $200 bet! Especially after a caller in-between. You could have either taken a nice pot down right there, or at least made him pay to hit that 8 on turn. You essentially let him set his own price to see 4th street. The analysis that you were doing "pot control" with 1 pair is flawed, especially because it's an overpair and you want them to have a queen! I think that had you check-raised this, the session would have taken a better turn.
@tyrocksalot3 жыл бұрын
You should of c-bet or check raised with those Kings! Especially with a call in between
@Hawksforever993 жыл бұрын
I think you just have to adjust to the "fun player" calling range sometimes and remember that at these stakes, big bets are bluffs at a pretty low frequency - yes, sometimes they're just over-valuing or value owning themselves, but mostly in these cases, it's very similar to what one of my favorite PLO teachers, John Beauprez, says about the PLO streets at lower stakes: "If they pot it, they've GOT IT!" We've probably all been there if one plays enough serious poker, no matter the flavor (PLO, NLH...Limit...Big O, etc) But these are the days I always go back to my roots...drill down in the lab...while simultaneously commiserating with Mike McD! "Seems true to me, cuz walking in here I can hardly remember how I built my bankroll, but I can't STOP thinking about how I lost it!" Embrace the variance. It's one of the hardest things to learn, I hear. That and learning how NOT to tilt - think they go hand in hand.

@Hawksforever993 жыл бұрын
@@coolpoolshark variance can take you on some rough downswings! Seems I just came out of one...lasted a couple WEEKS! But I've had upswings that lasted even longer, so you just have to remember that and keep putting in the work...volume of play and also studying!

I did not like the hand with KK and AQ. I think you should raise sometimes just to see where you are in the hand, how players react. If you limp you make them buy cards and of course they thank you at the end
@notthenuts53543 жыл бұрын
The AK vs. AJ hand was outstanding. Hard to put the villain on anything better than your hand, and sure enough, he was overvaluing top pair some kicker. Sadly, the reverse happened when you held AQ. I can't see both villains betting and calling on the river with worse than trips. Honestly I figured one had A8 and worried the turned king weakened their two pair, and then felt renewed confidence on the river. But ONE of these guys has an eight - sure enough both did - somehow... As for the KK hand, that's tough. And while I get the logic behind checking flop, it does let marginal hands get there, which is what happened here. Though I suppose if players are calling pre with trash like 89 offsuit, they're probably calling a flop bet with just some pair, no kicker, no draws, so maybe it's the same end result. Still, I'm probably betting that flop to deny equity from the trash out there - and clearly there was a LOT of trash holdings in your session. Wow.

Pocket KK hand was wrongly played by you. You should have not allowed his 8 to reach the turn on a Queen high board. You should have raised big preflop like 150 plus considering the player pool and like 300 plus on the flop as there was no Ace. You didn't get turn or river unlucky you played it wrong.
