I’m struggling with creating clearly defined spaces while also transitioning into the next area. This video was one of my favs so far though. I really liked the beach/dock area on the one island. I know that you weren't asking me, but try using weeds, stunted trees, stumps, and dropped materials - acorns, plucked flowers, mushrooms, pinecones - along the path. I recommend using a custom dirt path that wraps around the trees.

I'd love to see more inspiration for how to decorate and make things nice while still keeping it functional and easy to get around. SOmetimes I feel like, yes it LOOKS like a farm, but is it ruined as soon as you actually need to farm? Some overly decorated island looks like it woule be impossible to actually play (harvest stuff, shake/chop trees, fish from rivers etc), but there must be islands out there with a good balance.

These are so awesome! I just reset my island and settled on a RS directly across the airport as well and "extended" the plaza area to the airport entrance. I never liked a RS close to the airport before but I actually really like how cozy it feels!

My resident service area sucks right now, I can't figure out what to do because it's 6 spaces from the beach and 8 spaces from the airport, so that whole section is very squished. Not a lot of design options because of it.

you could make it look bigger with using cliffs to seperate it and make people have to walk a bit around so that they get to resident services

You can only decorate three total levels: ground, 1st cliff, 2nd cliff. A third cliff tier can be built, but you’ll never be able to climb it and decorate
