Hey sir, your help and guidance would be appreciated. I have a slipping trans problem on my 2012 is350. Its not all the time that it slips just once every week when Im getting to high speeds on the freeway it tends to slip on 4th gear. But other than that the car runs solid. I have the check engine light on since May 2021. The code it initially threw out was p2714 for solenoid "D". We swapped it to a brand new OEM solenoid D package and not even 10 minutes later after driving down the road my check engine light came on again. We scanned it and it threw code p2714 solenoid "D" again along with a new code p0763 "solenoid C". The swap on the solenoid D obviously did nothing but bring another solenoid problem on the scanner. At this point my trans guy said to just try to find a low mileage used trans and call it a day. But now since you mentioned ECU , maybe I should look into that. May you help me with your input?

My 06 gs300 originally would slip in 6th then eventually seemed to have went into a limp mode it will shift 1-2-3. 4,5,6 show up on dash but no shifting. Do you think this is an ecu problem?

Limp mode is often triggered by the ECU when it detects a significant fault. You should have a diagnostic tool connected to the vehicle's OBDII port to get any fault codes stored in the ECU. Mechanical problems within the transmission, such as worn-out clutches, bands, or valve body issues, could also be at fault. If there's a problem with the ECU or the wiring/connectors related to it, it could potentially cause shifting problems. Problems with the transmission itself, such as a malfunctioning solenoid, torque converter issues, or internal damage, could cause the transmission to slip and eventually go into a limp mod where it remains stuck in a lower gear.

Ok.. Help me out . I have lexus gs300 model 2000 , i bought it used. worked fine for a month , then suddenly one day check engine light with VSC on and Off lights came on with no acceleration , i took it to mechanic.. codes came out p1121 , i changed throttle body (full) (used) .. worked fine for few days.. then again . same problem. i bought OBD II scanner and manually removing code everytime it appears . took it to few other mechanics and they dont seem to figure out the problem. do you think its ECU which i have to replace?

have a 2000 doing the exact same thing checked the harness twice following the Lexus service manual troubleshooting procedures. Replaced the throttle body with another from my 99 GS300 exact same problem. So gonna go with ECU next and keep an eye on ABS/VSC ECU under the dash

Thanks for the informative video. I have a P2757 and P2714 error code. I have a hesitation feel when I release the brake pedal and the car hesitates when I accelerate from 1st to 2nd and to 3rd gear. It feels like driving a 4 cylinder manual transmission. One mechanic recommended to rebuild my transmission without even road testing my GS 300 AWD. He said changing the the Solenoid D will be a waste of money. Then a second mechanic, road tested my car and said that the transmission is fine after he cleared the P2757 and P2714 code. Hey so I had transmission that went shot, and I got it replaced with a low miles one that I got online (it was a jdm transmission)the mechanics I assume did the best job possible but when I got the car, it wouldn't shift out of 1st until around 3k rpms and when I take it on the highway it doesn't shift into 6th gear at. So I had shipped the ECU to get rebuilt and when I got it back I put it in and the car continued to have the same problem I dont know what to do.

2006 lexus gs300 my did the same things mechanical said it was transmission replaced transmission did the same thing.so I take a gamble change computers $145 from yunkyard $130 to program the key.make sure computers number are the same.hope it helps someone.been 3+year no issue so far

My suggestion take it to a guy that can program the key $145.dealer charge about $300+ if you decide to take to dealer tell them that all you want nothing else because they going to sale you a new transmission.call around some dealer do it some don't.make sure ecu number match the use one.hope it help

So just got into car accident, ecu is in the engine bay in my lexus gs400. Several major things got bent which i already replaced. Along with those was the ECU housing. It looks like it got bent and now car is throwing code p0300 for Random missfire and is not running well. After such situation, you have to check all of the fuses. Matter fact, it can easily damage any other module in the car so it potentially can be the ecu but it can be much more than that. Have to diagnose the car!

It may help however first check all mechanical aspects of the car to ensure that it's good. If something is bad mechanically, replacing an ECM will not help.

So I just got used is250 2008 and subscribed to Alldatadiy to help me diagnose o2 sensor code related to ECU. When I remove the sensor under the battery, I noticed this module unit that have three harness plugs. It turn out to be electrical power steering. I hope you figure it out by now! Mines was simply loose due to the white clip not being all way back to push pins in.

I have a 2011 GX460 and I have a P2757 and P2714 error code. My husband already changed the solenoids but the problem remains. We took to a transmission shop, he thought it could be the torque converter. Got that changed and nothing. He said the transmission is in good shape so he thinks it could be the transmission control module and temperature control because the gear shift problem (getting stuck on 3rd gear) only happens when the car is cold, once it's warmed up the problem doesn't seem to happen. Dealership said I need to rebuild my transmission because from 1st to 2nd it pulls and only goes to 3rd gear and after that speed goes up but it over rebs and when I have it on sport shift it only has 3 Gear also. Had check engine light for a while. One night I was giving it an Italian tune up n then the CEL started blinking and the car was shaking violently. Ever since then everytime I gave it a lot of throttle it would start the violent shakes again until I turned the car off. Slowly it takes less and less to make the CEL blink and then the violent shakes start. Only code that’s being ran rn is random cylinder misfire. I once got a p0174 or 172 code but that was only one time, I had a p0420 code for bank one but when I went under the car my cat on that side was gutted, so I made the other side even and that code went away. That night I drove back from Virginia it was acting a little better n then the next morning it took even less throttle for it to come back and start shaking again and the random misfire code

@my31 and 37 was the ecu. They screwed it up the first time. Fixed the shift problem, but had bad soldiers that caused 4 dash lights, no rpm needle, and rough running. Sent it back and they said it couldn't be repaired. They put my original chips back in it and I guess since the fixed the shift problem and put my original chips back in, I plugged it up and it's been running flawless. They also refunded my money so the only loss I had was I was out of the vehicle for 3 weeks.

I just started recently experiencing the first issue detailed in this video (yesterday actually) when downshifting from second gear to first (coming to a stop the car jerks) on my (old) 2006 Lexus IS250. If I shift into neutral when doing this it does *not* happen. So at least I can drive the vehicle without this annoying occurrence happening if I remember to do that. I have a cheaper OBD reader and it read code p0756 which is something about Solenoid B, but from the minimal research I’ve done from the web it could be that, the transmission, ECU, etc. I obviously intend to take it into a mechanic but do you have any idea on what it most likely is? @iiFoogieIf it’s neither a transmission nor brake issue, then it’s an ECU issue. You can take it out of the car by removing a few screws and several computer pins (it’s a 20 minute job), and send it to a place that will re-wire the failed circuitry for about $180~200. That is what I did. It’s one of the small number of things a non-mechanic can do on his own without much effort or cost to himself.

Exact same symptoms with 05LS just 80k miles and was the first drive after AAA replaced the car battery. My guess is the solenoid code is a symptom of a bad ECU, somehow screwed up from the battery replacement. Appreciate your response and update on your vehicle.

My 2011 Lexus IS250 has no abs and traction control due to an accident and out of insurance shoddy repair. This was all done by the previous owner. I have 94 ES300 and before it said it was the air intake valve and then it said it was bank 2 sensor 1 o2 sensor and now my overdrive light is blinking and it's saying vehicle speed sensor and output shaft speed sensor circuit. So the OBD results change every time I fix what it says and then I check it again and it's showing me something different so I'm chasing rabbits. Would you say that's just a computer problem and no matter how much I keep replacing items is just going to keep showing a different code? Lexus dealer says that no one can't program a computer if it's not installed on the car but I think they're just wanting me to take my business to them. Can you shed some more light on why they said this?

Mechanics have told me that the ECU is faulty, problem One. 2nd problem they tell me is that after manual testing the compression on four cylinders is 30PSI, very odd, car has only 150k kms, can continual starting with faulty ECU cause lifter 'pumpup' leaving the valves partially open. Just been informed I need a new engine. Do you do replacement ECUs for Australia?

When the headlights are on and Im driving approx 60-70mph the rpms become erratic and the car seems to shift crazy and out of control. Once I turn the lights off it stops. I have the same lexus model and i have 2 very big issues, The first one is my lexus automatically loses horn,lights control, indicator, head lights and steering wheel adjusting button. The second one is my car some time does this problem where my car won’t run when i throttle until the rpm reaches 3 and it kicks very badly(like it just got in gear) and while driving it automatically brakes really hard for 1-2 seconds, tires screeching kind of braking. I have a problem with my 98 Lexus gs 300, I went on vacation and came back so the car was sitting i tried going for a drive once i came back and I had click, no crank, no start. so I thought maybe the battery died, I charged the battery and boosted it and nothing so I noticed problems in the past with the starter and I didnt have my obd on me so I just changed my starter thinking it would solve it, my starter isnt the problem now, I changed it and we’re getting now, click, no crank no start again and no fuel pump prime, So we tracked it down to the ecu and noticed it was oily when we opened it but only in 2 connectors, I cleaned it with alcohol and qtips and let the car die out with the negative terminal on the battery disconnected then tried starting again after everything was cleaned and connected battery and I tried starting and when I turn the key to start the whole car shuts off no lights no crank no click no start. Im stuck and need help!

OMG a Transmission shop has had my RX for 5 weeks. Did transmission; then valve body; then Throttle sensor. Car runs just as bad as when I dropped it off. 02 sensor was original issue; then knock sensor......I’ve spent a fortune.....this makes so much sense. I should have just gone to a Lexus dealer! My mechanic was gonna replace all my solenoids and i had read on a blog about the computer issue it was a hard down shift to 1st and it didnt want to shift into 3rd . Theres a guy on ebay that i sent my computer to and it was cheaper than the price of the solenoids alone. Im glad i went vomputer 1st saved me some coins it was an 06 is250. My gf totaled it a month later. But i picked up a project car an 01 is300 it was runnin like shit and no one could figure it out . I took the compuer out and there was oil that had pushed through a wire and was shorting things out . When you would give it gas it would bluh bluh bluh sputter . It ran good for a little while but its starting to do it again . Not as bad but the computer doesnt have oill on it but one of the peices kinda has a residue stain around it . Has any one heard of such a thing ? Im on yt hopin i run up on something. Sorry for the comment as big as a walmart receipt . Ha thanks.. nice video also
