Hi Bobby, was missing you there Sir. You should "Prime" the line before you put the gas in the car. That way there is no air going into the system. Simply set it up and hit the trigger with the intake valve open. You should also make sure your cousin is primed too... send her some flowers or something man...

The Compressor died on my 20 year old Honda and a very trustworthy mechanic (retired Honda tech) said OEM parts and labor would be ~$4000 due to possibility of black death in 2nd generation CRVs. I said no way and watched many videos and did it myself for less than $400. It's been three months and the AC is still cold. My problem was the opposite of what you're showing here but I agree with your approach. What have you got to lose with older cars and outrageous costs. I plan on getting a GX soon so stumbled onto your channel. LOVE IT.

I’ve got a 2023 GX with about 2600 miles on it, basically brand new. That thing is a rolling refrigerator, lol. It’s low 100’s here in Dallas right now, and my family asks me to turn the temperature up because it’s too cold. 👍🏼🥶

My ‘18 460 blows the same temp air when ac is set within 70-80 degree range. Have to crank it way down for it to start blowing cold, and crank it way up to start blowing hot. But it’s one or the other - no fine precision air temp regulation. Think this could be low refrigerant issue?

The temperature set is not the temperature blowing out. It's the cabin temperature reading. Think about it. Like you thermostat in your house.

I have a 15 and when I turn on the AC, drive to the store for 30-45 mins, come back out and my AC is off so I have to turn it in again. This is a hit or miss depending on how hot it is. So how do I have it on the way if was when I turn off the vehicle?

No, no cousins, BUT. When your AC is on and you’re at a stop, do your RPMs go up and down at every stop?

@@gnawty4662 The compressor turning on and off is typically normal but not at the frequency you’re describing. Too low or too high of refrigerant in the system can make your compressor malfunction and eventually fail due to unstable pressure . I would put a set of gauge’s on your low and high side to check.

@@GXBOB thanks Bob! What do you mean by gauges? It is frequently turning on at every stop. It is obvious at red lights. I will take it to Lexus for review and see what’s up. I’ll post an update.
