IT'S SO EASY! How to replace the failed rubber window trim / moulding on all 4 doors of a 2005 Lexus GX470. It’s so easy you’re gonna love it!
I also cover over the rear window trim with some black electrical tape to match, turned out really nice.

RE the electrical tape comments, its still holding up fine. If it fails in the future I'll look into something else, or maybe more tape. I'm curios to see what product others have used and how it looks. So far so good.

Thanks for the video. I bought my replacements from black hawk japan (from japan) in black. They fit great and were right at $150 for all 4 as oem toyota with shipping to the us. I may end up replacing the back window ones to match when they get bad.

They fit fine, there are 3 holes on that piece, just cut off the tab so it lays flat.. dont need to order oem, these fit great

Use Plastidip on your quarter trim pieces. Much cleaner look than electrical tape.

Just use good tape. The tape I applied in this video, now several years old, looks as good as the day I put it on. It hasn't peeled or needed to be replaced. For all the hater comments I got, it's still going! So give it a shot! Just clean and prep the surface really well, that is always the key. Clean the hell out of it, finish with alcohol, then apply.

You can get the rear cargo window trim in black on eBay as well. I paid extra to get Toyota OEM trim and the screws better line-up with Toyota parts. Good luck with the electrical tape holding up 😝

I just looked at the full kit from Dubai with all 6 pieces and it was $238 including tax and shipping. Ouch.
