did you have any issues with the heater output melting anything on your tent? i have the same foil-lined pipe you run but mine get insanely hot even at full length. planning to get an RTT soon but i just don’t want to melt the fabric! lol

Didn’t actually have any issues with that! I expected to see some sort of damage on the pipe but seemed fine. I’m sure there is better piping out there somewhere but I’m gonna stick with this for now. Seems reliable so far. Zero issues with tent damage

Wrap the hose with a rag/leather/silicon where it would contact the tent material.

did you ended up getting a battery that will allow you to run the heater the entire night? what is the power consumption for a heater like that?
@lexus_offroad_adventures Жыл бұрын
I did! I ended up connecting 2 50Ah batteries in parallel. I also downsized to a 2 kW unit and started connecting my Diesel heater wires directly to the battery terminals for better efficiency.

Love your vids. What’s the suspension setup for your 35s? How much lift, etc?
@lexus_offroad_adventures Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! I’m still using the ole Eibach pro-truck lift system but with their HD rear springs. +Freedom Off-road UCAs. I also have the Eimkeith PCK. That’s pretty much it for suspension. Everything else comes down to cutting, bending, trimming and alignment to fit the 35s

@@lexus_offroad_adventures Sounds good. Should I get one of those “airbag conversion kit” for rear too? I just got the truck yesterday. I’m a giga noob but your channel is on point and tons of good info!

@@seanessy24 the eibach kit and all others which include rear springs will delete the airbags. I have a couple videos showing how to do that. I recommend getting a kit vs doing front and rear suspension separately as the kit is designed to work together with the spring rates, damper compression/rebound, etc.
