Your review is totally in line with my opinion on this car after driving in 70.000 kilometres. Love the seats and steering. Love the chassis and suspension Even love the gearbox now, such an intelligent solution and super smooth. Comfortable, refined and relaxing and at the same time engaging and precise, very controllable and eager to just fly on twisty bumpy roads. I guess the bonded chassis makes a difference towards the competition is this regard. A dream on motorways, so silent when cruising. Spacious both cabin and boot, not bad at all.

I've chosen IS300h even if I could get BMW, Merc or Audi cheaper as I'm working in Germany now. IS is just more refined, quieter, and more reliable.

And lower maintenance costs, Toyota hybrids don't have: a starter motor, alternator, clutch plates, timing belt. The brakediscs/pads last a very long time too.

@@MoAli6 Haha! I no longer have the IS300h. It is so under rated, i enjoyed the IS alot, reliability was my main concern - No major problems, engine is solid, only need a new battery nothing else. I Drive another Lexus, RC300h F-Sport in blue with red leathers, great car, look good, drives ok. Again it will be reliable compared to the rest of the german cars.

I'm due to change my company car and I was very close to placing an order (Starts with F and ends in ord Mondeo) but after reading some of the reviews and especially watching your review it's thrown a massive spanner in the works............Just because you drive a company car it doesn't mean you have to follow the crowd and opt for the usual suspects.I'm off t my local Lexus garage.Great review, great hat and fingers crossed it'll be a great car.

A bit late to this but thanks fella, searching for a replacement for my much loved 528i (E39) and this just might be it. Not a fan of modern BMs, Audis are just posh Skodas and Jags will be in the garage all the time. Only leaves this. My old Audi A4 used to have a CVT (pre-DSG years) - proper steel belt CVT not an e-CVT like here and reviews never mentioned it as weird at all. Loved the smoothness of it.

@@erickeane471 no issues at all. Just passed the yearly inspection (swedish traffic/security regulation) last week. Very happy with it. Of course it's not a GS-luxury feeling, but the IS great value for money & it gives that lovely Lexus feeling anyway :)

I'd want an IS300h IF:1. They sold it in the US.2. They improved the acceleration - 0-60MPH3. I'd prefer front wheel drive for winter driving.

Yes just how I felt after weekend test drive,then I thought get another golf tdi,number 7,it's the facelift,must be even better than MK 7,I saved six grand ,well ,what a muppet,dohh ext,facelift much more road noise,and noise,harder ride,door ratels,vibration through floor,no glove box lock No draw under seat,pump noises from under rear seats and bonnet,when car stops,what have I done,YOUR PAYING FOR VW US EMISSIONS FINE

Drives nice mate, very nice, its not about power, its a cruiser and a potterer, 0-60 would mean listening to the CVT gearbox and engine note, you don't want to do that, its about 8 or 9 probably

A3 Sportback Sport 1.6tdi manual, an excellent car, long term average 57mpg. BIK is the reason I looked elsewhere and the Lexus whilst more expensive will save me income tax and provide a better ride. Plus I wanted a change of scenery. Im hoping to achieve 50mpg in the lexus IS300H Advance!

Well I'll take that as a challenge then. If your reviewing fleet types then yes BIK information, also some company car drivers have fuel tax to pay which incurs a 3% levy for diesel at the moment. I found nextgeencar to be very helpful to narrow down potential cars. I learned how the Jag xe and A4 manage to get low BIK for such a large 2.0 car, they need to use AdBlue an exhaust additive which the driver needs to refill in time. AdBlue is something the car salespersons completely neglected to tell me about. Emjoyed the review BTW, you have an entertaining and informative style.
