Excellent video!!! I just wished I got to watch this before I purchased my Lexus IS 300 awd 2019, 3 weeks ago but I did do my research. This car is damn near perfect and I love it but here are some cons I found: You mentioned we got a heated wiper de icer button BUT we have no active sound control button, no auto windows up and down and remote start on our key fobs, and no digital clock on our gauge cluster like they do in the american models. I would choose those features over the de icer button. lol This cars main con would be the cup holder location and the armrest storage compartment and glove box compartment. Storage is very small in this car. They would have perfected this car if they had the RCF cupholders, larger storage compartment and larger+more cushioned arm rest pad. There is also no sunglasses holder and the hinges on trunk will tend to crush items you store. The leather seats do tend to crease so becareful if you store anything on seats for periods of time especially with the roja red, make sure theres no sharp edges or alot of pressure on one spot of the seat basically. Also the arm rest leather tends to wear out faster and is armrest is kinda flimsy which can be fixed by replacing the oem pading underneath the armrest for some thicker plugs that you can insert under the arm rest that keep it nice and sturdy and stable. I have to mention that one of the biggest let down is no car play!!! Very disappointed considering the fact my car is a Lexus IS300 awd 2019 and Lexus did introduce carplay that year and there is an update for my car supposedly but I was told Lexus does not want to update my model which is a bummer and they said they are trying not to update old cars BUT was told they could theoretically. No excuse for a car that new and still does not have carplay... I did hear online changing the bushings may help with tire wear BUT it will sacrifice ride quality is what service advisor mentioned and a nice set of good quality tires will always be beneficial. I've seen videos on how people don't like the joystick but i actually do like it and find it easy to use. Maybe it was just the older generation complaining. A touch screen is more convenient but just leads to higher chances of damaging/scracthing and oily finger prints. I guess the screen could be closer but after owning this car for 3 weeks, its a good distance from the driver and no need especially when it isnt touch screen and it is less of a distraction and gives you more self awareness when the screen is a bit further. I wished they had the CD slot moved higher or out of the way of the shifter because prior to owning a Lexus, I loved using a CD slot phone mount, it was very reliable and sturdy and never had problems but in this car, the mount will always be in the way of the climate controls and shifter knob. You'll have to resort to those flimsy vent mounts unfortunately. The amber on the taillights on the 2017-2020 are not nice and I prefer the color scheme of red and white on the 2014-2016. I opted into getting after market taillights that are like the 2021+ models which are much brighter full LED, sequential turn signals and start up animation. Having a lip and spoiler really changes the look of the car in a good way aswell. Overall I love this car, it was almost perfected but Lexus loves to make micro adjustments maybe to save for the next model they sell. However, I am very happy with it, nice comfortable and premium ride. I highly suggest getting a throttle controller aswell, this made the driving experience much more better and unleashed the hidden power and made the car feel much much more aggressive. They can go for about $40 online. I highly suggest one of the first things you get for this car after getting windows tinted.

You can upgrade the lower control arms to a firmer component, dramatically reducing the wear of the tires. I did this with my 2022 IS350, and it’s been a significant upgrade! And I confidently purchased pilot Sport 4s, knowing they wouldn’t be getting chewed out quickly.

LOVE my 2017 IS300 fsport awd in atomic silver... bought it brand new but did need all new tires at 14,000 because of inside wear! That didn't happen on my 2002 IS300! Thank you for sharing! 💖💖💖💖💖

I always find it interesting to see how different the variants can be in different countries. I picked up a 2017 IS300h Premier (ML sound and heated and ventilated seats, sunroof and triple beam lights) with 32,000 miles. Here in UK/IOM there’s only the 2.5 NA 4cyl hybrid here.

The new screen is complicated and mainly useless and distract from the road. U r in a car not setting at home. Simple open the phone or close it take long time to adjust. The old screen has a button on the wheel drive very easy.
