The only thing I think it annoy me the most is the steering wheel design. It looks old fashioned and outdated, The rest are very good.

So funny I just came across this video. I have a GLE 450 (non coupe) and my wife has an RX350. Though we like the fact that the Lexus is cheaper to maintain, we BOTH prefer the GLE lol. The materials, fit and finish, ambient lighting, and infotainment put it a step above the Lexus. She gets jealous because mine has massage seats and heated/cooled cup holders while that wasn’t even an option in hers. Don’t get me wrong, the RX is nice, but you can tell it’s not as high quality. Feels like a premium Toyota and not a true luxury car. The first month we had it, the dash unglued itself in the heat but thankfully that was covered under warranty. Overall, I’ll say the biggest luxury thing the Lexus has going for it is the big infotainment screen, but I hate how you can only interact with it via touch, whereas the Mercedes gives you the option to use the trackpad. I love how my GLE screen stays clean because I RARELY touch it.

I have leased several of both these models and currently have the MB. From a reliability and cost of ownership - Lexus. Comfort, pickup and overall ride - MB. Over the last 6 years, I've wanted to return to the RX, but the exterior look is too racy/sporty and not classy. They need to return to there earlier look which is what I love about MB.

At 16:30 you mentioned the Lexus TX has ANC (Active Noise Canceling). I have been unable to find this feature mentioned in their build documentation, window stickers, or advertisements. Could you verify this and share where I can confirm this exists and in what trims?

I will still take the Lexus over the Benz. It just looks and feels classier. As far as the Mercedes being able to turn off sensors for the car wash......Yikes! I would NEVER, EVER take my car to any car wash. Whether it be full service or self-service wash. I am waaaaaaay too particular in what touches the paint on my cars and only I am allowed to clean/wash my cars and only at my home.

I have the 2025 NX 350 Premium. I would like to see more in the rear view mirror. I am having a problem seeing especially when it goes into dark mode. need to know how to turn it to light so I can see what is behind me instead of looking through my side mirrors

I chose the NX only because I like the grill better than the RX. I saw the older RX previously had the same grill as the NX. I would’ve chosen the RX if it had the NX grill. I pick up my NX tomorrow 2 days before Christmas. So excited!!!

The Merc looks a class above int and ext. Merc has 4,6 or 8 cyl choices. Having owned several of both brands Lexus wins easily on cost of scheduled service and reliability. 4 cyl onl Lexus is deal breaker for me as is Merc cost both initial and service not to mention after warranty. I have moved on from both. However there is no perfect alternative. Between these two I would take the GLE and lease.

very good comparison. im actually looking at the IS500 as a next car. but whats holding me back is that the car falls a little short in my expectations in terms of how fast or quick the car is. these cars sounds fast as hell. but it doesn’t feels fast like the M3, Camaro, or mustang in terms of n/a power V8. the v6 turbo charge like M340, kia, stinger, Acura v6 turbo, or honda’s type r can keep up with these two. the only upside of these 2 cars is consumers sees them as toyota and knows for its reliability and hold a bit more value.. i just really wish toyota makes this quicker than those V6 turbo. but ngl that new look of IS500 looks very nice. 👍

Great video. Honestly, now I'm more confused 🤔. I am in the market for RX but the NX is gaining favor 😊. Just today, I looked at a Mercedes GLC, I dont like the coupe. The one, I dont see in alot of Lexus is the double sunroofs, thats a bummer. The Mercedes inside, so darn classy with a the bells and whistles missing from the standard RX. Help 😊😂

25:00 in video owners' manual they are called interior light{dome light], and the [map lights] are called personal lights. The manual says for the those front lights to touch them to turn on and off. Reality is for the front ones if your finger comes within 3/8 of inch they will turn on or off. Rear dome/interior light is controlled by the front light. Rear map/personal lights have switches only. At least this is what 2017 ES 350 made in Japan model has. Good video Thanks!

I would take the LEXUS RX 500 F SPORT HYBRID anywhere, anytime, any day. I would put my neck on a chopping block that I would get to where I’m going without a hassle, breakdown or worry. I owned the Regular RX and I traveled across America driving for work to different states and can say I NEVER had any problems with my engine. I saw Mercedes on the roadside and Mandy other makes of vehicles but not a LEXUS. ❤

I’ve been enjoying this series. I appreciate Lexus for having Digital Key, Digital Rearview Mirror, cornering lights, headlight washers, 6 piston front calipers and carpeted front wheel wells… things not available on this GLE. Also, the Mark Levinson with 21 speakers beats out the GLE’s 13 speaker Burmester.
