Damn the manual is so much faster. I went to Germany recently with my is200 and it did 220 on the GPS so like 230 on the speedometer, while fully loaded with people and baggage, like so heavy the car was noticeably much lower. And besides it doing 220, it accelerated much faster too, it might be able to do more than 220, but I'm pretty sure we hit the rev limiter. It was pretty cool, good performance for the price, also had 0 issues with overheating or anything like that.

@@shanel104 that's not bad, besides the temp part, mine was running at perfect temperature. And what rim size do you have? Pretty sure that can change top speed since the same rpm will be a different distance with different tire size.

I bought his when he was 54 000 km and once I put LPG. Today is 80 000 km. ZERO failure ... the new year, I assume the turbo. Then the power will increase to about 250HP and ~ 330nM

+erni13pl Choćby dlatego, że takiego lexa to potrzeba z 15tys. z LPG, a za A4 z LPG niecałe 10 ci starczy to raz, a dwa. W 1.8t masz przyspieszenie na poziomie 8 sekund z kawałkiem, a lexem z większym silnikiem takiego nie osiągniesz.

I’ve bought one 2 years ago with roughly 94k miles on the clock... Today it has 152k (hence I bought an old and bulletproof car) just replaced the ignition coil packs due to a maintenance service (they’ve just run their course). Plenty of creature comfort, fun if you so desire and it starts every single time... For all those miles I’ve put on it in two years - roughly 48 000 all in all I’ve done to it is - new tyres, regular oil change, and a set of brake pads. If you’re looking for a reliable and comfortable car, for under 1 000 pounds - look no further. It’s a no brainer - buy it.

Mine has 263,000km's. All I've done last 3 years since I got it @ 224,000km's is new tyres, change oil/filter. And rear pads. Only thing that's failed is 1 ignition coil.. So pretty decent reliability I'd say.. I'd prefer the altezza rs200 version though... But probably less reliable.

Nah its engine size, is200 has a 2.0 liter engine (i dont know the code of engine) and is300 has a 3.0 liter 2JZ GE engine.

@@antoxin93 Yes, of course you are right! I did read your previous message wrong. In the IS200 with automatic gearbox, the engine is not powerful enough, turning off the ESP on dry asphalt does nothing. When you have a 4.3V8 then the ESP off is a lot of smoke and fun. Take a look at my IS430 video on my channel! :-)

Bloody nice cars. But sooo slow.... I've got one (a Toyota altezza as200) I want an altezza rs200 though... 210 hp. 4 cyl. Lsd rwd.. Almost 8000rpm instead of 6200.. I'm not keen on the 6 cyl. Although it's plenty torquey and reliable. Mines on 263,000 km.

@@penzesproli2582 its pretty bloody slow. my 1.6l toyota levin was faster, my 2.2l honda accord sir was faster. and these are all old stock cars. for such a brilliant car, chassis etc, it is quite slow. i still own one and love it, but it sure aint a powerhouse. its got nice torque and is a great cruiser around town. but i would take the toyota altezza rs200 with the more powerful 4 cylinder engine over it anyday. the downside would likely be less reliability though. my is200/ toyota altezza as200 has 320,000k's on the clock as of now. great reliable car.

@@wotever99ninynine For me and a lot of other people the IS 200 is not slow at all. You can make a small ECO tuning and get +10-20% more torque and will be absolutely fine. Or you can replace the stock flywheel to lightened steel flywheel and the gas response will much better.
