You know whats funny about this video......leaving my college (laguardia) in Queens NY just as I am about to get on the 59th street bridge, I saw a lexus IS300 with a 2jzgte motor and Getrag 6sd manual swapped in. I pulled up next to the guy and I was AMAZED......I asked him to floor it on the bridge......he had a 44mm OPEN wastegate and damn that shit was LOUD!! Man between this video and what I've just witnessed in person...........I am blown the fuck away!! Long Live the Supra!!!!

Well I had to move in a new house lately and had to switch my priorities... But thanx for keeping the pressure on cause I tend to get lazy when it comes to editing. I'm always down to shoot but my editor is in Florida working on a project titled Human Flight featuring the RedBull Skydiving team in 3D = Coming in a theater near ya! Exactly... You might also wanna take a look at the Toyota Aristo (Lexus Gs series) produced till 93 which came out of the factory with 2jZ GTE. I know the car is bigger and heavier but it could be yours for less than 12 Grand. Available with auto trans. only, you still have to swap a getrag in...

@lzammyl3 The difference between the GE and GTE block is that the GTE has oil sprayers that spray on the pistons to keep them cool. So no slapping on a turbo does not make the GE and GTE.

The RS Will receive the STi version 8 swap in a near future... And I personally quit the Subi family for an Evo 9 MR comin' this spring... Got the new GoPro HD Camera. Expect crazy footage from us this summer!

It's a very good thing when the blue is300 crested the hill at .30 there wasn't a cop there. I've have the fear before when driving my is300.

Stock for now but gears are way too short... Even in 6th gear you can reach the red line if you hold it long enough. This is one of the few upgrades coming in this winter, along with a big brake kit and maybe some power up. I suggested the owner to go for an after market diff. instead of choosing between a variety of Toyota's OEM's. Then again it's not my car but I think this IS300 is show and go enough to qualify for parts sponsorship... What you think?

I know it used to be an AEM AMS but it got swapped and I can't remember what replaced it. Think it was a custom box. Will have to check with owner...

Doubt it, the IS300 only came with the 5 speed and auto with a NA 2jz, they most likely used the Supra 6 speed since it came factory in the twin turbo models.

My IS300 is a stock 5spd. My RS has ver.6 interior and going to put JDM bumper on and splats sometime in the future. I need to buy a new camera so I can make a vid

Both Evo 8&9 became legal in Canada when an agreement was signed with the US stating that a vehicle that passes the front bumper collision test over there can be imported over here. The Evo would fail this slow speed crash test because of a leak in the intercooler piping. Just got new HD cameras and I will film a lot of projects this summer. I invite anyone with a sick ride and a desire to stick it on film to contact me directly.

@lzammyl3 Is300 comes with a 2j anyways, only difference between the N/A version and the TT, iirc, is the heads. The blocks should be exactly the same.. I may be wrong though.. To properly do it, it would probably cost around the 3k-5k range. Proper tune and supporting mods.

Damn your car SCREAMS! I freakin love it!!! Mine is so quiet yet I have a tial external w/g also and actually a larger turbo. What diameter exh are you running? And it seems like you'd be making more power at 18 psi w/ a GT35R on a GTE motor...with the GTE cams and intake manifold. Your dyno numbers resemble the GE motor's typical output

@banama I don't do bars... But 18psi is the setup in this video. More or less depending on the occasion. I'm metric all the way buy I stil prefer HP's, Torque in pounds and Boost in Psi. I just don't know what the numbers means the other way. Ill have to convert some day...

sounds real nice, i love wastegate sounds...@rjeezy...all the 2jzgte are the same, just the one from the Aristos have front sump oil pans, and supras are rear sump. even the older 2jzge share the same forged internals with higher compression ration, and a better flowing head since the 2jzge has no turbos. even the 1jz is the same, same bore(89mm), just shorter stroke hence the 2.5l. you can use all the accessories from a 2jz on a 1jz. all the same motors man. with minor upgrades over the years

I Sincerely can't disclose any cost related information about this car... Here is the only conclusion I came up: The overall project was probably way more expansive than it should have been. But then again I could be wrong... And I know Jo always reads comments you and I make. So let's hope he'll reconsider this, so you can all have an idea of what you get yourself into if you have the same project in mind.

@rjeezyneezy From what I know there is no difference in between a 2JZ from a Supra or from let say a Toyota Aristo. But I might be wrong so double check! About the body kit... Owner asked me to not disclose some upgrades on the car. We sure don't want to see a replica next week at the red light. But I might give you a hint: This kit is virtually available in Forza Motorsport 3 upgrade shop. So dig in if you really want to know...

or you could just buy a 5 speed is300 the already have the 2jzge the swap is only worth it if your looking for the the 6 speed IMO, the SRT turbo kit for these will easily yield 400+whp just by bolting it on and getting a tune, and you can always buy a built block and swap it in later if you want an insane amount of power

The microphone on the camera doesn't do justice to the real thing... In the city it just scares people... Pedestrians tend to get very mad. They don't feel safe anymore. Even on the sidewalk... Might sound like little but they do the job right. Even got me impressed by the initial bite. I've been racing cars for a few years now and I know what race compound feels like. All I'm sayin' is this setup ain't bad at all for street use...

@Jonathanjon1 try Machines Gone Wild, SRT or Turbonetics. I contacted turbonetics sometime ago and they said they only had a turbo kit for a naturally aspirated supra engine. I was assuming they were talking about the same engine within the is300 that I have but I wasn't taking any chances. Also try contacting a friend of mine. his channel is jascione00. he has a sick is300 himself. he should be able to help you get in contact with a man by the name of Lance Ho Lung who built and tuned his is,
