Thank you for all of your replies to everyone's questions. You answered all of my questions in the replies. For that Sir, I have subscribed 🙏 I have a 98 GS400 Aristo swap making 500hp. I have the LS400 calipers but the pad selection is very limited and not aggressive enough.

Overkill Engineering makes a bracket for the GS too. I think it’s same as SC.

Had some Z17 Calipers for my Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 combined with Lancer Evo X Discs with 350mm diameter and 32mm thick. But Z17 does not fit since they are maximum for 335mm Discs. So I ordered Z18 Brakes and now trying to fit these. But I bet it is an awesome option and very good brake

Yea. I think all Lexus and Toyota use the same drum design and shoes.

Im trying to find solid faced rear rotors like that ..but no luck😢 showing that dynamic friction brand is out of stock everywhere

Overkill hasn’t developed a bracket yet. I’m thinking it’ll work but he needs a knuckle to R& D.

I have 17Z fronts for my IS300. The rear are all same from 2003-2008/09 VW Tuareg, Cayenne or Audi Q7

Can you do a Camry Brembo? Mustang/Camero/CtsV Brembo is cheap. Highlander, Sienna, Avalon, Es300-350, Rx300-350 all have the same brake with minor differences.

Not on RWD cars. Different mounting points. The IS300 is based on the SC/Supra suspension and mount points. Slightly different though.

You need 17s but most likely at least 18s with high disk. Offset isn’t as important as the disk height.

Wait a minute. So you can put big brakes on drum brakes without some type of conversion? Just need a bracket?

Not on this car since it only comes with disks. Drum cars usually don’t have hole ears for calipers.

@TunerwithKids I get what you mean. But it actually does have a drum brake in the rear, you literally showed YOURSELF fixing it 🤣🤣🤣. My question was when upgrading from the one piston to the 4 piston did it affect the drum brake assembly at all?

No, the drum is a parking brake on the hand cable. It’s a separate system.

Yes. Treads are standard for banjo bolt.

17Z is the most important number to find. See my description box info for more resources to look at. I haven’t got around to finishing this project. Life happened and my projects have been delayed. Still have to powdercoat and rebuild the seals.

They rear will clear the 2IS 18s and any of the OEM 19s. I doubt it will clear stock 17s. Due to the 13.6” rotors.

Cart-part and look for cheapest ones with shipping. I seen them as low as $17/ea. They were used by Cayenne/Touareg and Q7 from 04 thru like 2013 so plenty out there. They aren’t bolt on for VW and other cars so easy to find. The 6-pot front on other hand is sought after since its bolt on upgrade for VW and Audi cars. Also easy bolt on for STi.

Yes. I’m using RCF rotors, all RWD Lexus and Toyota use the same drum parking brake system.

Do you have another recommendation besides those calipers?? I’m looking to upgrade from stock but not something that excessive yet at least. I’m about to install the IS350 calipers and rotors up front. But let me know what you’d recommend for The rear as an upgrade from bone stock. Much appreciated and love the videos.

Rear stock is already 2 piston so not much to upgrade to other than a BBK for the bling factor.

Honestly I did ls400 calipers and they don’t stop how I would like. Especially running a turbo setup I would like better brakes I wish I seen this video earlier !!!
