It helps if you have a kind of a pry tool. You can just work it from all angles. And to get it back in, use an extension on the top of PCV and keep GENTLY tapping it, until it snaps in.

@@ThrottleUnlimited oh yes thankfully everything came out flawless. Since I was there end up doing the whole tune up eg. Ngk iridium plugs, new coils and wires, new valve cover gaskets for they were leaking, cleaned the vvti ocv filter+ “ocv” itself; Man car’s running like a champ. Coming up is the rear diff flush to put fresh synthetic oil (Red Line brand)

Oh btw, with the brand new pc valve car’s breeding beautifully and “pinging” is gone. Also code p0430 appeared not to long ago happening to be bank2 sensor 2 detecting clogged cat converter; Bruh poured in the gas tank a product called “cataclean” - not only restored the power loss but the code is gone without erasing codes on the scan tool haha. I’m a happy camper w the car now. Lmk how’s it going w yours man. Alright be safe and God bless

Shouldn't it have threads on the pvc? Mine does and it's a 2001.

I have a 2002 is300 and the left PCV valve is a push-in breather, non valve. The driver side PCV valve is threaded. Oh yeah both dont use a grommet...
