Lexus LX 570 Spare Tire Operation

Here's how you access and stow the spare on a third generation Lexus LX570.

You need to use the handle part pointing out so you can crank it better and easier. And to put the spare tire back on, you can set up the center part on the wheel and slide the wheel out to keep tension and then use the crank to bring it back to the center and lift up. Keep up the good work. There are not many people showing how to work on this LX570.

Nice Video and show where the tool box goes and tools to used it. I was wondering where would be the “JACK” hidden. After looking in my truck incase if I need it it was on a right side panel behind the power seat switch. One thing I’ll say you keep your truck in the best shape, all the right stuff used and proper maintenance is the key essential. At the End what Ever you can do it yourself. The shops folks won’t do it all the lubricant cleaning and details. Nice work though!

thanks for the video. I had the spare tire aired up, which required this procedure. 8:24 the guys at americas tire put that tab into the hole for the wheel lugs. not sure it makes a difference.

What process did you use to black out the chrome around your tail lights?

i went with the 'ol plasti-dip initially. now it's redone with vinyl

wherever you placed it.. mine used to ride in the center console in the cabin until i got rid of the wheel locks. no one is looking to steal these 20's 😂
