I traded in my Rivian R1T for a 2010 LX570. Best trade I’ve made!! Thank you for these videos. The Land Cruiser is already a rare vehicle, it’s been even more difficult to find informational videos for wrenching on LX specific parts (which are admittedly few).

Great video, thanks! I don't have that confidence to do the big change! I turned off the exit lowering because I don't feel like I need it but I'm worried that the hydraulic pump will be wearing out... Mine isn't wavy, but it does seem to shift levels (unevenly front/back) sometimes at stop lights are after I turn it off. I did just have someone put on rocksliders and they were complaining about some of the bolts - hopefully it doesn't add too much pain when it comes time to have this done. I'm hoping I can buy some time just doing fluid changes. I do love driving it, despite being able to see the fuel gauge go down in real-time lol.

The black beast is one that’s always stuck with me when talking about the 200 series. I’ll take those accumulators for my aged 200 🤣
@andresd9146 Жыл бұрын
I recently replaced my accumulators by watching @NKPgarage video. 3 of the 4 were completely shot. I didn’t do the pencil test but by just looking inside them, only one had the diaphragm to the top. The other 3, couldn’t even see the diaphragm so the pencil would definitely have gone all the way in. Good video and good maintenance item to do for sure. “Black pearl” for the name 👍

The fuel tank is on the right hand side. So probably gets a lean as the tank gets low. In Australia the 200 series gets a lean from the KDSS system but the LX doesn't have that.
@desparky11 ай бұрын
It may have been my video from Australia that you watched??? Silver LX570? I haven't changed the accumulators on mine yet, as it still rides OK (260,000km or 160,000 miles) but for my future reference, is this assumption correct of how you did it? 1). Bleed it down till the fluid pressure is gone then close off the bleeder. 2). Remove the old accumulator and replace it. 3). Start the car and let it lift up, keeping the reservoir level topped up to the correct level. 4). Move on to the next corner.

Yes, that's how I did it.

Located in Ga. Excellent inside roads but 285 and 85 are a mess with potholes due to 18wheelers. Porsche chose Atl due to its curvy roads and pretty good road network. we don’t get snow.. just ice once in a while.

I do have a question, have you found or do you know of any ways to upgrade the cameras on the truck? Having good visibility with the cameras while off roading is one thing that I miss from the Rivian. Another question is if you’ve found any way to get Apple CarPlay into the stock screen placement without interrupting the functionality of the HVAC fan speed controls. I’ve heard other people say that the AUTO climate feature is good enough to not need the specific fan speed controls, but I’d hate to lose that functionality.

I enjoyed your rambling loose as a goose review. I don’t think you quite know what you own. That’s a 200 series land cruiser and it’s luxury form of Lexus. Yes it’s a 500,000 mile engine. It’s also the last VA and will be the most sought after Car in the next 20 years. Enjoy

Going to have to do this on my 09 lx soon….I have a tilt and my vehicle dips suddenly sometimes at idle. How much did the the accumulators run you?

I believe, when I ordered them off Amazon...they were listed as front and rear. However, they are actually the same. Can anyone else confirm this?

Its MEEE who noticed that its tilted to one side :) You can notice the tilt by usually looking from the rear and gauging the mud flaps
