Lexus multimedia 2015: How to update your Lexus Navigation maps

Our 2010 ES350 nav screen only shows roads 1-3 blocks ahead, not nearly enough advance notice to get into the correct lane. Is there an upgrade to a more helpful system?

Hi, I have a 2014 GX 460. I bought it in the US and I have shipped it to Nigeria. I noticed the navigator only covers US, Canada & Mexico. Is there a way I can upgrade it to cover Nigeria

I have no problem with the price but when I go onto the customer portal it asks me for my country , well the problem is I live in the uae and there isn't an option for that and when I press a random country and when I enter my Lexus number it dosent work

It is helpful to have an accurate map in front of you driving if a new subdivision or roads have been constructed. I remember driving down a road but my Lexus navigation system still showed a big green patch of .... whatever. My vehicle is 10 years old and an update is probably needed for sure!

Issie wizzie oh, I totally get that. I actually just purchased a new map since mine was 10 years old. I figured it was about time. I still use Waze but I'd like to have an accurate map.

Can't believe how much it cost to update maps and renew the mobile start - from your phone; many of these services are free. My 2019 ES Sport has been to dealer 3 times and no seems to know how to do it; Lexus says must be done by dealer, service department at a loss to know.... While I love my car and have less than 20,000 miles on it, I'm tempted to look elsewhere. Don't have time to spend at the dealership without results and Lexus still insists it's a dealership matter.

Nowadays it should be a free service for anyone, first off customer portal is a discontinued service, so it should be fine if updated maps are released to offer a better service for the customers, as Lexus always pray for.

I got mine updated for FREE , it now goes black screen or crashes when you need it most. Recall made it far worse.

Is there no way to update the map without going into the dealership? That is what they website keeps suggesting instead of providing an update that I can download and transfer into my car via USB.

Hi, I've tried the customer portal but it keeps saying that the product ID I have entered is invalid. I've made sure the ID is correct and without any hyphens etc. but it's not accepting it.

Hi, I have an RX270 which I bought here in Taiwan 4 years ago. The original navi software unfortunately does not offer the option to switch to an English interface. Only Chinese and I think Japanese. Is there a software update available that would allow me to convert it to English but still have current local Taiwan maps? I love this car but really hate the language barrier. :-( Thanks

Hi Jason. We're afraid this is very unlikely. Your best bet is speaking to your local dealer in Taiwan, who may be able to look at the system in more detail. We're sorry we can't be of more help.

Pricks, Yota/Lexus STILL hasn't updated the friggin buggy infotainment system in my 2016 NX. Should of bought a BMW again...

Lexus has one of the worst navigation systems in the market, if not at all! Portions of system is under GNU GPL, GNU LGPL, and "other people". So why it's heck pricey?! Beside, maps and menus aren't that smooth compared to free softwares.
