Lexus RCF with Armytrix Exhaust. One of the best sounding V8s ever! On the way to Thanksgiving dinner and caught him on the highway in an Infiniti QX60 loaner car. We had food in the back so we couldn't really speed.

It's a decently fast car, 0-60 in 4.5, quarter in 12.7. It's not the fastest in the competition, but it's an amazing car.

It has run 12.5@114 mph bone stock on the strip, but more importantly it is very fast over 100 mph. 0-150 mph in 24 seconds. With basic H/E mods, it gains 40 - 50 whp easily

I have an RCF and I can tell you that is the Armytrix exhaust. And RCF is very fast especially from a roll. It will hit 150 - 160 mph in very little time.

@@JimBigVlogs Thanks. Novel is great for sound, but useless for gains (and too expensive). RCF actually loses power with Novel headers because headers are too narrow (that is what gives it the high pitch noise).

It's not slow and it's not "really heavy", it just doesn't have quite enough power for the weight. In the meantime I ought to point out also to any BMW enthusiast here (I'm a part of that group, too) that Lexus isn't trying to make an M4 with a different badge. It's a sporty luxury coupe with an AMAZING engine and lovely sounds. It's like a Japanese Audi TT- not the sportiest car but very fun for different reasons. You don't buy one to beat an M4, you buy one because you specifically don't want an M4.

I would actually consider it as an enthusiast's car if it came with a manual. Also it is heavy for it's size. Almost 4,100 pounds is unacceptable for a car with this pedigree and price. A bullit mustang is 10 times the car this is for 2/3 the price

@@CanIbeFrank First off, the Bullit Mustang is a waste of money. It's a reference to something that isn't culturally relevant and if you just buy a PP2 Mustang GT it's the same thing, cheaper, and without stupid badges on it that no young people are going to understand or really care about. Secondly, 4000 is a reasonable weight for this car. The RS5 is similar in weight but it's also really fast, much faster than this car. Lexus built the LFA- they know how to build performance cars. If they really wanted to corner what is actually a dying market, they could have- but they didn't. Also, the M4 is the only car in its class with a manual and the manual isn't even very strong.

I bought the F purely for the V8,Reliability, and the value of the will hold up pretty damn well when Lexus gets rid of the N/A V8 in the future. It's better in the GSF because at least you get a sizable car with 4 doors and the same weight. Too bad there's no manual. It's only faster in really fast drag cars. Also a dual clutch is much faster than a torque converter auto like the one is the RCF (unless it's a race prepped power glide, there's exceptions to most rules)

At the end of the day the RCF's chassis is a frankestein of three Lexus models and is not bespoke to the car which weighs it down. Not saying it's a slow car by nature but it is slow for a 2 door naturally aspirated V8 that's 467hp. The key thing to take away from this is it's potential. It's suppose to be way faster than what it is. By your logic you should only compare the RCF to something that's exactly like it in every aspect which of course it's gonna stack up against something that's the same power and weight... duh. That's idealistic but not realistic.

However the RCF is advertised as luxury racing, you won't find a mechanical spoiler, anywhere near the amount of luxury technology in any other car equal to its speed. It's the slowest car in it's class. Even slower than an e92 m3 or last gen c63. Slower than a c7 vette, slower than any coyote Mustang. It sounds good though!

@@CanIbeFrank I think you need real drive time to experience what being quick/fast feels like. I test drove a 2016 GT mustang, and then went and test drove a 2019 m240i BMW, i'll tell you shockingly enough the Mustang had enough power to kill me but couldn't put it down for anything. The Bmw I could literally sit at a red light and launch it everytime sub 5 second 0-60 and it felt very quick. Honestly the m240i might not seem impressive on paper, but I could push it to the limits without killing my self and did get it, everyone that sat in it knew why, the car literally feels glued onto the road and the mustang wants to spin you out with traction on. This is highway too, believe me when you look up and Blip 100 through town you really realize 300+ horsepower really is quick lol.

@@floored3078 I've got a 2017 BMW M240i/6speed manual also and it's a hoot to drive, I have a stage1 pure turbo, Dina carbon fiber cold air intake and a Dinan piggyback tuner installed and when I open it up, it let's me know that it's not fucking around and goes like it's hair is on fire, scary fun though..

@@CanIbeFrank Meh, the Supra has an amazing sound and has 140 less HP. And btw, that RC-F was the track edition which is 0-60 in just under 3.9sec. You can tell by the carbon fiber hood. I think that's fast. And I understand how loud it is, I'm a lexus owner and have driven that car. But I think he might have had aftermarket exhaust added. If I could afford that car though, I'd rather get the LC500. lol

@@001spring that wasn’t the track edition bro the hood was most likely wrapped or he installed a seibon carbon fiber hood. The track edition came out on the newer refreshed 2020 RC F’s with launch control that’s why 0-60 is achieved in 3.9 secs.
