Yes there is however I don’t think people will crawl into there hatch this why I didn’t show that in the video.

Hello young man, I didn't mean the internal one, I meant the external one which ( on my 450h ) is situated under the chrome strip along the tailgate....or do you need power for this as well?

@@christopherwhite959 no that the electric trunk release hatch if the battery is dead you won’t be able to open it in some cases there is enough juice to open the hatch but won’t start the vehicle

I'm 4 weeks into recovering from a replacment knee operation so I'm pretty sure my Rx will not start, so this is the reason for my questions, so here is one more, once you've used the key in the key fob to open the doors, won't that unlock the boot?

Is it safe to jump from the location you showed in the front hood area with a small battery pack booster ?

Yes it is safe however if it doesn’t start the vehicle you will have to boost it right from the battery.

I did not replace it, I would recommend to go with the factory battery

You CAN open the trunk manually by removing the small rectangular padded cover from the inside of the back door and move the latch the the right. You do *NOT* need to do what this video show,s unless you want to JUMP START your RX450h's 12V battery with another car. Also your RX450h 12V battery is smaller than typical 12V battery on other cars like the RX350. So, don't use to jump start other cars.

The average person that owns a vehicle like this there older adults and not teenagers who are going to crawl in the back seat remove push the tab and so on this is why I did this video Also I’m not sure if you get your info on google but it’s fine to boost the battery. Do you even know what type of batteries they use in the hybrids

you are showing bad example of how to use lexus plastic clips. They are quick release , you just need to push them in fith finger and they are in opened position. Read the manual.
