Lexus SC400 BAD ECU!

Awful idle and idle pulsations sometimes
died instantly after starting
Smoke out exhaust when finally started
Check engine light would flicker the more gas i gave it. If i floored it it would glow brighter
i opened up the ECU and found the area around a resistor and capacitor to be leaking/corroded. i sent the ECU to a professional circuit company and i’m waiting to see what happens!

mine was doing literally everything you explained but whenever i would take my foot off the gas (even while driving) it would stall. I got a new MAF sensor and it has fixed it, but now it idles at around 250-300 rpm and don’t know what to do.

when i floor it sometimes my parking brake light turns on. would this be from a bad ecu?

No. That’s definitely low brake fluid. Top it off. When you floor it all the brake fluid sloshed to one side and the sensor reads it as low. Just fill it up. It’s happened to me before. Let me know how it goes

Your ecu definitely is out . I was smoking from exhaust too and flooding I tried too many times to start it and now it flooded my engine. Had 4 qt of gas in my sump. Had to change plugs. Also after putting another ecu in the car my cats are now clogged

yah my ecu went bad which made it run super rich and it plugged up both cats on my sc300. barely had any air coming out of the tail pipe while on the pedal but at idle there was a ton of black smoke
