Lexus SC430: Broken On Spring Break

The Lexus SC430 is back on the road after sitting in a kind neighbor's garage through the long, cold winter. But it was a drama, including lost keys, dead batteries and an adventure to the dollar store.

Luckily when I purchased my sc430 3 years ago, previous owner had a trickle charger wired to battery with a plug between the charger and the battery for easy and quick connect/disconnect. I have been told by mechanics to fully charge battery when dead and not count on running the engine to recharge. My wife and I LOVE our SC430. Great to see your are enjoying yours. Live in upper Michigan and I have top down if its sunny no matter what the temperature. My wife requires 50C for top down. Enjoy your content very much. thanks

If you had a bad battery the battery needs to be checked for a bad cell. If bad cell doesn’t matter how many times you try to charge it you’ll strain the alternator and overload it then you’ll need a battery and a alternator,,,, trust me I worked at a Toyota Lexus scion dealership.
