Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I have a seat heater button that Subaru wants a fair amount of money for. Nothing is wrong with the button, the lights just don't work anymore. I took it apart and found the little light bulbs and wondered if I could replace them. Sure enough you video showed I can. Thanks again!

In my last Fiat, I replaced every bulb in my dash with Ultrabright 4mm red Leds. They cost virtually nothing, and I got a nightvison freindly cockpit with only red lights.

This is what I did on the button bulbs. But it bothers me that Honda says the original bulbs are 14V, and in Europe we only have 12V. What do you think of that, is it a problem?

@@pootatotree7546 Well here's how they list the bulbs on the instrument panel: 78180-S84-A02 SOCKET ASSY., BULB (14V 3.78W) 878181-S84-A02SOCKET ASSY., BULB (14V 1.26W) 978182-S84-A02SOCKET ASSY., BULB (14V 1.4W) As far as I know these to be able to dim work on varying voltage, I set them to the dimmest setting.

@@zacmich6472 I don't think car voltage is region dependent. I believe 14V bulbs weren't used because your car actually has 14 volt - I think car manufacturers chose these to make them dimmer and cooler on 12v. I own 2005 Chevrolet (Daewoo) Matiz 2. It uses 12V DC. I wanted to replace info lights with LEDs and I noticed 14v bulbs. I'm sure it's related to brightness and/or bulb temperature

@@Diza_X They actually operate from sth like 9V up to 14V, and the dimmer switch regulates that. I already put LED in place of the filament lamps and they also dim and operate fine with less heat

IDK if it's a good place to ask. Anyone knows where I can buy micro LED bulbs, but *exactly* as bright as the incandescent ones? I'm tired of both classic bulbs and that chinese crap, everyone assumes that if you want LEDs = you want something extremely bright…
